Jason is the only medical practitioner Ive ever been to who has connected all of the aches and pains Ive had over the years (knee pain, tight hamstrings and lower back, sore upper back and shoulders) in a way that makes sense to me (common person with no medical background) and treated them all effectively and thoroughly. If youre looking for someone to simply help you feel and be better, look no further. And if you need additional convincing, check out his website and read his philosophy about treating patients - its so different than what were all sadly conditioned to believe about pain and our bodies. Jason can help you - and he can help you faster and in fewer visits than youd spend with any other PT in Southern California, hands down. I initially saw Jason at his clinic (which is private, comfortable and clean, by the way! Great set-up inside a fully outfitted boutique gym with easy parking) because I threw out my back - Im in my 30s, relatively active and way too young for a back injury. Ive been to several chiropractors - a couple of which I like and recommend - but no one was able to 1) make my pain go away for longer than a couple days and 2) make me believe, through his therapies and exercises, that I could come back better and stronger than I was pre-injury. After a thorough assessment, he explained to me, in simple terms, why my back was so tight and how a mix of manual therapies would help me achieve the greater long-term goal of overall better movement, function and physical activity. He is very hands-on, and I appreciate that every session is a bit different. Heres an example of how he adjusts to his patients: he asked me to show him the kinds of exercises I usually do, then he picked them apart and corrected my form so they could become part of my every day rehab. He really listens to whats going on with you and customizes your treatment - unlike other PTs who prescribe the same off-the-shelf exercises based on the injury itself. Jason really does assess you as an individual to find the cause of whats ailing you - its like he has a magnet to zero in on your pain, and then a magic PT wand to make that pain go away! Okay, so it may not be a magic wand, but a blend of skill, precision, knowledge and world class experience. Jason has successfully worked with professional athletes and performers, so he knows what hes doing (again, check out his website to see the impressive list of individuals hes treated). Its evident he is a master of his craft (and also able to connect with and treat the rest of us who dont have household names). Its true his practice doesnt accept insurance, but the old adage applies: you get what you pay for. He will give you documentation if you need to submit paperwork to your insurance for reimbursement, and he accepts Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Spending Accounts. With the increase of high deductible and consumer driven medical plans, most people will soon have to get used to the elimination of co-pays and instead pay higher out of pocket costs anyway, so you might as well invest your health care dollars on something worthwhile. Your body will thank you - immediately, and in the future. After just a few visits, Ive never felt better. I even started jogging again without knee pain which is amazing for me - I wrote off running years ago and while my goal is not to be a marathon runner or anything close to that, running a pain-free mile around the neighborhood with my dogs is a nice, unexpected side benefit. Not all PTs are alike. With Jason you will get results, and he is more like part physical therapist, part coach. Like a good coach or teacher, hell be able to help you reach your goals where other PTs may have failed you. I encourage anyone, especially those who may have had a not-so-perfect experience in the past with physical therapy to give Dr. Han a shot and consider it an investment in your overall health and well-being.

Last spring I finally connected with Jason after a fellow acrobat recommended him to me. I researched him online and asked some mutual friends if he was good, but to say he was good is an understatement. He was excellent! I had been struggling with chronic bilateral rotator cuff tendonitis for 6-7 months prior to meeting Jason. I had been to 2 doctors and 3 physical therapists, but nothing seemed to be working. I was in so much pain and I would leave my physical therapy appointments with these other physical therapists experiencing increased pain. Honestly, I felt like my only option was to find another doctor and see if surgery was the only solution. Then, I called Jason. The first appointment went so GREAT! He did a thorough initial evaluation and actually understood my sport/job (Rollerblading and circus acrobat). His treatment planned was created for my shoulder problem, as well as applying exercises that coincide with acrobatics. Following that first visit, I immediately saw results and for the first time, decreased pain. The following day I received a message from Jason checking up and seeing how I was doing. Not only was I feeling decreased pain already, but I was taken back by the fact that he actually cared about his patients, as well as his treatments. I continued to see Jason for another 6-7 visits and saw a significant difference in my shoulder function and pain within that first month. It was so nice to be active and working again, without having to always worry about my shoulders. I cant thank him enough. Overall, Jason is the only PT I would recommend in LA. He is able to handle many different athletes within any sport and those types of PTs are hard to come by. He works hard and strives to get his patients to reach their individual functional goals. Jason, thanks for all your hard work and dedication, YOU ROCK! :-)

I have complicated foot issues, and I came to Dr. Jason Han after 9 months of not being able to walk for more than a few steps or stand for more than a few seconds without severe foot pain. I had seen two podiatrists and two ankle/foot orthopedic surgeons before coming to Jason, and I had not seen any progress in my condition. I decided to try physical therapy as a last resort as I am trying to avoid major surgery. When I came to see Dr. Jason Han, I was feeling very hopeless about my condition and was doubtful PT could help. I’ve been seeing Dr. Jason Han 1-2x/week for about 2.5 months now, and my pain has greatly improved. I am no longer taking anti-inflammatory medications, and I no longer have to wear special orthopedic shoes with prescription inserts. There has definitely been a lot of progress, and I am feeling more hopeful that I may be able to do daily activities once again! I feel myself getting a little stronger as the weeks go by, all thanks to Dr. Jason Han. Not only is he a master of his craft, he is also very caring and honest. Dr. Jason is also very responsive to e-mails if I have questions about my exercises, and I feel that he truly cares about my health and my mobility. I’ve also seen Dr. Mary Claire, and she is also a very talented, caring, and personable physical therapist. Yes, it may cost more to see Dr. Jason Han since he does not accept insurance; however, I truly believe he is worth every single penny because of the quality of care you will receive.
