Hi, I took my wife for a check up to her today and her assistant gave me a form to fill in the information. Apart from the Medical Information, the form had all the questions about financial details. Such as -- Credit card #, expiration date -- SSN # -- License # -- Date of Birth -- Full Address -- Phone # -- And all other personal information questions which if landed in wrong hands can spoil my whole credit history and can be misused in every possible way. My wife was denied medical checkup just because she didnt want to give my SSN # to them which they would just keep in a file in the reception room. Which in case of theft would be open for the theives to steal any information. I called up my insurance company to find if my medical provider would need my social for billing and they told me that no medical provider needs a SSN # for billing. According to her doctor patient relationship is on trust. Then why is that a one way trust. A doctor is supposed to know all the medical information, not all financial information. I would not suggest anybody who is cautious about his financial future to visit this doctor.
