I admit I didnt get to meet Dr. Schenkel because of the baracuda manning his phones. Im so tired of rude office staff in medical facilities. When I inquired about whether or not the doctor was accepting new patients, I was given a response in a very surly tone, "It all depends on what kind of insurance you have." Having passed the appropriate insurance test, I asked about getting appointments for my children. "Dr. Schenkel doesnt see children." So why exactly is this called a family practice?

Best Dr. always patient, never rushes you, and listens to what you are saying. Office staff is great, always helpful with my 88 year old mother as well as myself. Returned calls on a Saturday when my mom had shingles and kept in contact with us. Highly recommend.

If youre going to Dr. Schenkell you can expect a long wait. My average wait is 30-45 sometimes even longer. Receptionist is not very friendly. I think hes probably a nice guy but says things sometimes that are alittle insensitive.

Great guy.. I havent experienced long waits, nor rude receptionists as others state. Really attentive doctor, spends a ton of time with his patients. Not a pill pusher.. he was a great find.
