This place should be shut down. Know the law! They told us it costs $ 25 per person to get our records. That is illegal. Your have a legal right to your records and they are free- thats the LAW! This place will "nickel and dime" (actually hundreds of dollars) you to death by only doing one thing for each visit. That is wrong. They told us that they have a different agreement with our insurance than most places. That was a lie. The office manager told me that me, the primary insurance carrier had to be there or they wouldnt take anyone from our family. That was another lie, my children had been there for two years before I was and I know a family whose primary insurance carrier- the father still is not there. We had wanted our daughter to stay there since she liked the dentist. Their practices are deceptive and many are illegal. I am in the process of reporting them to our insurance and to the state board. Stay away from them and get out quickly. Find a place with integrity.

I was in a lot of pain and needed my tooth pulled out. I went to my insurance web page to look up an surgeon ( original dentist recommended i needed an surgeon to pull the tooth), I called every dentist on the list and American Dental was the only office with the earliest appointment. (Now I see why) I wish I would have read all of these reviews before I went there because I wouldnt have went to this place. I called my insurance to get an price on how much I should get charged for the services, they told be everything should be over $100. OK I was fine with that. But somehow this place ended up charging me $230 for one tooth. They charged me for an x-ray that was supposed to be free ( my insurance covered that) and they charged me for 2 teeth and only took out 1. The actual dentist was cool. But this is an money hungry place, and the front desk just dont care. I will never spend my money here ever again. Lesson learned read reviews on places before you go there.

Update: After getting a call from American Dental about my initial one star rating , I felt like they are really care about their customers. It look like they really want to also improve by monitoring their calls and ratings. So I went in for a regular check up but doctor just looked at my mouth and said I needed a deep clean, which I understood because I was pregnant. She said couldnt get an x-ray until I deliver. I had my baby and made an appointment but they didnt take x-rays instead they did the deep cleaning from one side of my mouth. I was okay with thats. What I was not okay with is that I wanted to get x rays the fallowing week and the operator denied it. She said I had to get the other side deep cleaned according to the doctor, even though I had not given her my name to read what my file said. Hum hello you are not the one to decide!!! Im saddened because the Archer location was nice to me but the operator failed.

I cant say enough good things about American Dental Associates. I think if you will come here to take treatment. You can see automatically the method of work them. It the chosen dental hospital of Chicago. Its very cheap dental service provider hospital. Every status person can come here and take cure. I was also gone there to take treatment. I was suffering from gums. Some problem in my front teethes. they was totally damaged from Bacteria. I had taken lots of treatments from other dental hospital. but they have not successful to provide me any profit in my gums problems. Then at last i had searched in Google(Best dental hospital in Chicago). Then i Found American Dental Association address. Then i reached there and took treatment. Magically after few days, I have gotten my new teeth.

Poor practices at the Archer office. I have been to this office twice and each time I call to make an appointment there is always a mysterious bill due that I was never made aware of that has now been sent to collections. Now when you go to any medical facilities you must present proof of coverage and an ID. The front desk person says I was sent a bill for $10 back in 2013 but wont tell me the address it was sent to. I ask for the name or to speak with the billing manager to find out what information they have on file for me and I was told I cant have the full name only the first name. When I ask the front desk person what the bill was for she said she didnt know "I dont see that here, I dont know why". Very unprofessional and not friendly at all. I will be reporting this office.

The only reason Im giving two stars is because the dr who always sees me and the dental assistants are always really great. The front desk staff on the other hand is a different story, no customer service at all. One of the receptionists might aswell have thrown the sign in sheet on the clipboard didnt even offer me a pen for me to write my info in. Incredibly dense and rude staff up front. Only reason I still go here is because my insurance plan is limited. UPDATE: Recieved a followup call from them regarding my review, was really surprised they did that but it shows they are trying to improve, they were very courteous.

Worst dental office to go to. There is no clear communication among office personnel and dentists. I was sent to the Palos location for root canal and when I got there, the dentist was about to give me a deep cleaning. So I had to reschedule because of their mistake and take off from work again. A couple weeks later the filling came out and need another root canal, which was almost turned into an extraction due to the inaccuracy of one of their dentists and office help. Bottom line, this is a horrible dental office!!!

I went in for a root canal and was not told ahead of time that it was a 2-day process. Plus, I would be charged an outrageous Copay. I found out AFTER they numbed me up, did the root canal and put on a temporary crown that I would have to go back for a permanent one that would cost me $735!!! The ditsy girls that have working at the front seem to be there for decoration because they really dont know anything about how the insurance works. I will be changing my dentist as soon as open enrollment comes around!

Terrible experience. Irresponsible stuff and doctors. My schedule got cancelled 5 times and no body cares because it is not their practice and they are just part time employees. They tried to charge me for unnecessary stuff and the worst thing is how the treat you. I had them as my primary dentist in my HMO plan and had to switch to another dentist.

Terrible experiencias .. arrive à time for my appointment , and after half hour they call me, the doctor come and check.. then wait another hour. . I feel frustrated because if you are late or cancel the appointment you have a fee for that is not fair .. the make you wait a lot .my time is valuable than they..
