************************** NOTE: Chiro One called me and offered me $150 to take down this review. Just thought folks should know this is their idea of "customer satisfaction." ************************** I initially did not want to write this review because the people here have overall been nice to me. However, a friendly staff does not make up for the lack of organization, communication, and the stress that I went through with Chiro One. I initially signed up in Summer 2015. I was on a PPO and my insurance covered the services. I explained to Dr. Dan that my insurance would be changing to an HMO during the course of services before I signed the paperwork. We agreed on a payment plan and I got services. Three months after I finished services ( and well after my insurance changed) I received a letter stating that I owed close to $5,000! Keep in mind, I told Dr. Dan that my insurance would be changing when I initially signed up, so I believed that the payment plan was based on him having this knowledge. I immediately called Patient Accounts, but every time I called I had to leave a voicemail. I called them three different times on three different business days and no one returned my call. I decided to send an e-mail and that seemed to work. I told a woman named Jennifer that I would go back to Dr. Dan and attempt to settle the debt and she said she would put my account on hold and send the North Aurora office a message that I would contact them. I went to Dr. Dan physically and he said $300 would cover what I owed. ( I really felt like I owed nothing, but at this point I wanted to be done with these people so I did not argue.) I did not have $300 on me, so we agreed that I would pay the $300 in installments. I was finally done in Spring 2016 as I used my tax refund to pay off the remaining balance. Breath of fresh air...its all done. ...OR SO I THOUGHT! I received another letter in the mail nearly one year later in Spring 2017 that stated I still owe them close to $5,000 and that if I did not get it settled within 15 days they were taking it to their attorneys! I called Patients Accounts again ( and left a voicemail...again! They never answer the phone, so do not even bother trying to call them ) When I called the Chiro One in North Aurora again, they told me that their computer says I owe them $0.00! So, now I am sitting here waiting to see if Patient Accounts will contact me. I have requested a letter on Chiro One Letter head that states that I owe them 0 dollars. It has been frustrating to have these things settled in person with Dr. Dan,( because no one answers the phone in Patient Accounts) but have no follow up e-mail or letter that states the outcome of those in-person meeting. This has put an undue amount of stress on me, for a service that ironically I thought would relieve some of the physical symptoms of stress. **Update** A woman named Tegan from Patient Accounts did call me back within a business day and told me the "give us $5,000.00 or we are going to our attorneys" letter was a mistake. She told me they will send me a letter that states I have a $0.00 balance, so we will see if I get it within the next 5 business days. **Second Update** I did receive the letter I requested, but I cant believe I am still writing about my awful Chiro One experience in Summer 2017...two years later. Two months after this review, I received a phone call from Chiro One out of the blue. All in the name of "customer satisfaction," a woman named Rita offered to give me back $150 of the $300 I paid. The catch...I would have to take down my Google review. I respectfully declined, and told her that I was frustrated that over the course of 2 years, the only time anyone has reached out to me about "customer satisfaction" was to ask me to take down a review. The whole thing felt shady to me. She said she understood my reasoning. I get that this person was just doing her job, but corporate REALLY needs to look at their customer satisfaction practices, because this is not the way.

Just want to give people a heads up on what to expect. Went there the first time and everything was good. Went there for a follow up and had no idea what I was in for. I thought it was going to be another adjustment for $35. After waiting for 45 min, one of the helpers took me back to a room. I thought I was finally going to be seen, but instead, I was made to watch presentation after presentation on why I should buy a 12 visit package. And if I didnt want to buy it, it would be $71 per adjustment. Honestly felt like she was trying to sell me a time share. And when I told her I wasnt interested, the chiropractor came in and tried his sales pitch. If you tell them that you just want to have an adjustment, they make you feel like you dont care about your own back and your health. After sitting there for 2 hours, I had had enough and left. Didnt even have an adjustment. Just wasted 2 hours listening and watching presentations on elementary school level information (did you know the brain sits on the spinal cord and did you know that the brain controls everything in your body?). Maybe this sales strategy works for some people, but I find it just awkward and insulting. You basically have 2 choices. (A) sign me up for a $400 package. (B) I dont care about my health at all. I believe that if something is really worth it, itll sell itself and wont need this guilt tripping sales strategy. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on what to expect as I was completely blindsided.

They are flexible with schedule changes and they treat all who come with respect. Ive been coming for two months and have noticed increased flexibilty. I used to be able to put on socks standing up and then had to do so sitting down, which I thought was due to weight gain, but after several adjustments I quit having flexibility problems.
