I chose this eye center because I liked the excellent credentials of one of the doctors. However, this place is inefficiently run. My appointment took 2 and a half hours, which was spent by 25 minutes in the first waiting room, then 15 minutes with a technician who checked eye pressure, measured my glasses prescription, did a preliminary measurement of my vision power using an electronic instrument, and dialated my eyes. After the 15 minutes dialation period in another waiting room, I was put into the doctors office where I waited 35 minutes for a doctor to appear. However, it was another technician who appeared because the doctor was running behind schedule. She measured my prescription using the normal device (15 min). My eyes were too unfocused to be able to see if she had the credentials to do so. After she left, it was another 5 minutes before the doctor appeared (no handshake) and examined eye health for about 15 minutes, then sent me off with another technician to take a topography of my eyes, which was unnecessary. I was then brought to the glasses and contacts area where I tested out some new contacts, waited a few minutes for a technician to check their fit and she made an adjustment to their strength. When at last I made it to the check-out desk, I mentioned the length of my visit to the clerk; her remark was that it usually took that amount of time. A few additional points - their equipment and furniture are quite modern and sophisticated. However, coming from an independent doctor whose office was equally as classy, I found the excessive visit time length (it was an hour and 45 minutes before I saw a doctor) and the higher costs (due to the contact lens fitting) to be unpardonable.

This is not a fluid establishment....a regular exam takes over 2 hours and you have to see seperate doctors for contacts and glasses (which results in extra charges so i paid over 100 out of pocket and i had insurance). They also screwed up my perscription because a doctor doesnt do the exam but a tech and then the doctor looks at it. Ive been wearing contacts for 15 years and this was by far and away the worst eye exam ive ever had. And i have to go back because i get a headache due to the wrong perscription. If you wear contacts dont go here. Also you do have to go back three weeks later to make sure your contacts are good which is another 25 dollars. So stupid.

Dont go here. Save yourself the time, trouble, and money and go to another doctor in town. If you go here not only will you have to wait for hours, but then youll have to see several separate doctors to do the same thing that the first one did. Then, by the way, youll have to pay for several appointments that may or may not be covered by your insurance. Good luck. And by the way, who really needs a second and third "fitting" exam? Why not just charge for rust-proofing while youre at it?

After waiting for over an hour was asked to reschedule for the next day with promises that I would get in first. After waiting another hour the next day came to find out that I wasnt on the docket. No consideration of my time or effort was acknowledged. They should have, at least, comped the visit.

Long wait time in lobby, Dr. Ehlrich was stoic and couldnt wait to get my examine and consultation done. I was even happier, when it was done. Clearly my appointment was an inconvenience and he had something more important to do at the time.
