After rotator cuff surgery, my Orthopedic Surgeon referred me to two PT offices along TJ Drive. As a highway traveler who commutes the I-270 corridor to and from the Ballenger Creek area of Frederick (South) to and from work in Southeast Washington, DC, I found their hours and my hours in direct conflict. I tried several others, most along TJ Drive and/or areas up US15 on the Northern side of Frederick, and found none able to support my evening and/or weekend hour needs. There was simply not enough time make the arduous I-270 commute by vanpool from DC and make it back to FSK Mall and then jump in my own vehicle just to fight US15 traffic to TJ Drive in the hope of making and completing a 30-45 minute appointment before 6:00 PM, M-F. Luckily for me, my PCP located this Amber Hill facility for me in Jefferson, MD. They are located within easy driving distance of Ballenger Creek Shopping Center just south of Frederick on US340 … and, there is more than one way to get there if traffic ties up a major artery. Don Novak met me at my first appointment and set me at ease right from the start. Likewise, his Staff was kind, gentle, helpful, and knowledgeable practitioners with great rapport. I cannot thank these wonderful people enough for helping me through the painful healing process with little fuss and zero muss along the way. Bravo Zulu for a job well done! I whole-heartedly recommend this facility, not only for those with requirements for evening and weekend hours; but, for the decent professional people who treat you with respect, make you feel like a friend, are genuinely interested in seeing you through the healing process, and are awesome at what they do! P.S. Dont forget to help yourself to a lollipop or two from the container in the waiting area on your way out. :-)

I have been receiving physical therapy treatments on and off for about 18 months now. Mostly on it seems. I have had two full knee replacements and should arthroscopy for severe arthritis. I have worked with other PTs in the past but Heather Pine surpasses them all in the successful rehabilitation of her patients. She does this with excellent care, attention to detail, and a large dose of humor. I have been contacted by others for a recommendation for a PT and I always heartily recommend Heather at the Jefferson location. The entire staff at Jefferson is friendly and professional. Its hard to think of looking forward to a PT session, but people do when theyre working with Heather. They know that she has their best interests at heart. I know that I will miss the camaraderie when I graduate from my current shoulder therapy but I also know that I will go away in a greatly improved physical condition and with some very fond memories.

I started working with Heather before my knee replacement surgery and my doctor says that has made a very positive difference in my recovery. I have continued to work with her as my P.T. after surgery and continue to be impressed by her knowledge and compassion. Though she sees several patients each day, Heather treats each of us as individuals, she gets to know us. The staff at this facility is always friendly and willing to help in any way. I recently had treatment for my shoulder and arm pain at Amber Hill Physical Therapys Jefferson office. The physical therapist, Heather, did an absolutely fantastic job. From the moment I walked in until the time I left, she was professional but compassionate, she made me feel like I was the most important client she had that day. She has a gentle touch but was able to work wonders on relieving the pain in my arm and shoulder. I would highly recommend her.

Several years ago I injured my knee, and went to Amber Hill Physical Therapy for help. The physical therapists were very helpful, as were the aides. I also appreciated the private treatment rooms. I went faithfully, did my at-home exercises, and my knee has been grat ever since! Thank you!
