Dr. Lisa Allen is the owner. She did massage on an area where I have been having great difficulty with a trigger point. A trigger point is muscle fibers that remain contracted and tight. Mine was caused by lifting patients as a Registered Nurse. This occurred on a Friday, when Dr. Allen did massage on that muscle/trigger point. Her massage technique is very "rough." That evening, my pain level was 10+. I called the office and spoke with Dr. Allen, who said that I should go to the emergency room for an injection of a pain medication such as Morphine or Demerol. Sure, the ER would believe a story like that? She did say she was sorry, but I never returned there. I would be QUITE CAUTIOUS in using Dr. Allen as a physical therapist. Just because she has her doctorate (which impresses most non-medical people) does not mean she knows what she is doing. And the entire time she was talking to an employee there...not a great way to make a patient feel at ease either. Finally, I am from the medical community myself.

Have been a patient at BioMechanical Physical Therapy for five years, for three different reasons - major foot surgery for a rare condition, a facial/neck injury w back pain and most recently a chronic condition that with owner, Lisa Allen, I am better able to control without having to increase medications. Notably, when I first met her and the wonderful therapists there, I thought I would never walk normally again or without pain. Its a team effort, she explained, and I listened and followed through with my homework following each session. It took time and hard work. Something I remind myself as I duel with health-cant-care-about-us-insurance issues. That it is worth the fight physically, emotionally and with our elected officials and employers to make sure our benefits cover care that helps us be well and stay well. Lisa, the owner, has successfully treated my back and spine issues after several unsuccessful attempts by other firms. I also had a shoulder problem that Sarah Donahue treated with equal success. Without Biomechanical Id likely have given up golf and other activities. I also Have been very pleased with the administrative support provided by a different Sarah, who makes appointment scheduling a pleasant experience.

Great staff and facility. Went to see them about my elbow which turned out to be tennis elbow. I dont play tennis, but anyway, they did two sessions with me and now I am pain free. The therapist, Jacqui was awesome and the woman who helped me at the front desk Kate was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
