Ive been swindled twice in my life. Unfortunately, one of those times was by someone youre supposed to trust. I should have noticed the red flag: that Miners patients were required to pay in-full following the appointment, and it was up to the patients to get reimbursed by their dental insurance. But alas, when I lived in Nantucket, I was naive and in my mid-twenties. Miner charged an exorbitant amount for a simple exam and cleaning, tacking on extra charges with silly names to hike up the amount of money he would pocket. In the end, it cost me around $500. Mind you, this was WITH insurance. And again, I stress that this was just an exam and cleaning; no fancy work such as whitening, a root canal, etc. After this terrible ordeal, one of my then-coworkers told me that Miner had a reputation for being a rip-off. Do yourself a favor and find any other dentist where you pay the normal $15-$25 copay upfront, and then dentist works directly with your insurance company. Dont get scammed like I did.

Dr. Minors practice in Nantucket has been a pleasant surprise. I joined this practice after my dentist closed his practice here on the island. I have been very impressed with the level of technology at Accessible Dentistry. In all my previous dental offices, no one has come close to the state of the art technology that Dr. Minor utilizes. His staff is very friendly and extremely knowledgable in all aspects of this office. I have had cavities filled, a crown done in a day with his in house ability to fabricate, and my teeth cleaned with a very competent and friendly hygienist. I would not hesitate recommending Accessible Dentistry to anyone needing the full range of dental needs.

Im in the middle of a tooth removal and eventually an implant. So far my treatment has been good, professional and caring. Today I had phase two with the implant of the base for the post. It went well. Dr. Miner is very careful and explained every phase.
