I wont get xrays no matter what the reason. No need for xrays. I find it not necessary as it does not tell the dentist much. From my experience, dentist can not be sure how big the cavity is unless he goes into it. I will only come in for fill in where i know there is a cavity or that they find it manually. No xrays!! it will kill you!! if they insist, i will go to place where they will acknowledge my request and do what I ask. After all, I am the one paying insured or not!!! X-rays are there for there not benefit, not mine or the patients!! I am still suffering from insomnia after teeth cleaning. Took 10 bitewings xrays without my consent. I was told only 1 or 2 for the implant tooth on the back. Plus 1.5 paramic xray which caused my problems of burning feeling in my midbrain, back of the head, neck, throat as well as upper chest area. My ears ring so loud, I can not sleep. my head feels us if it after you come home from the beach with a bad sunburn. I am tired and feel down since after the visit. I will not come back to the location on Memorial with Dr. Lankford and Dr. P. Just not worth the suffering for x-rays over exposure No, it is not the same having xrays as going out under the sun!!! The main office disowns the on on Memorial after my visit. That it no longer belongs to Lepow dental. I will be surprised if it still runs under the same name!! I email the pace of my experience the following day of my sickness, they rode it out as me not what happened to me at the office. Said xrays were digital and safe and no one has the complaints similar to mine. I do not know that if there were any, but I need to rate this so that someone out there will know and if any have the same issue, please let me know. I did not have this issue when I had a cleaning at the main West Rd. location so I know they did something out of the norm or not following the safety protocols required at the Memorial location which cause health hazard and my sufferings. I do not know if the older lady who did my cleaning was license and had the right training to use the xray machine as it did not work ( goes half way then stopped) like it should on the 1st try and she had to do it the 2nd time. I know i was over exposed with the xrays that were done on me!

Lepow Dental is AWESOME!!! Going to the dentist has caused me great anxiety since I was a child. I moved to Houston 2 years ago and avoided the dentist, until recently. I was referred to Lepow Dental and Dr. Dean Lankford by a friend, who also has anxiety about the dentist. I decided to be an adult and try out Lepow Dental. I must say I am so thankful I have. Dr. Dean Lankford is great. He takes the time to explain what needs to be done and understands if you are anxious. He does what he needs to and throughout the entire visit makes sure you are comfortable and doing ok. He will even stop what he is doing and give you a break if needed. After every visit Dr. Lankford has called me to see how I was doing; these are not quick 30 second calls either. He will review with you what he did that day and then ask how you feel and if you have any questions. The customer service is excellent. Lori in the front office is very friendly and accommodating. You can tell the staff goes out of their way to make sure you are happy and comfortable. I also must say that Sammy, one of the dental hygienists is amazing. After each cleaning, she sends a hand written note to you in the mail, to follow up. Lepow Dental wants your feedback and will work to make sure you have a pleasant experience. And if you dont they want to know and will make sure that does not happen again. I still dont "love" the dentist, but I know when I go, I will be taken care of and my needs are put first. Oh and how could you not love going to the dentist where you have a TV in each room, they will give you a blanket if needed and you can choose to have nitrous gas to relax... This was the absolute best experience I could ever ask for from any kind of health care establishment! They were very helpful on setting the appointment and had me in the office right at my set time. I had a severe tooth ache, and it took them very little time to diagnose the problem and get me into a emergency root canal procedure that day! My appointed dentist was Dr. Evans, him and Katrina (hygienist/total sweetheart) were nothing but genuine and great with their attitude and helpfulness. After they realized I needed a root canal procedure, Dr Welch hastily got me into the operation room and got right to work fixing my EXTREME pain. She even postponed her husband and her leaving for vacation to get me taken care of. Her assistant (believe Aneisha was her name) was also very sweet and comforting. Everyone I dealt with was informative, patient, professional, and kind. Even Tori, who was in charge of the financial dealings, was nice, and not rude or blunt in any way. To summarize, I will never go anywhere else for any kind of dental work. In fact, knowing how spectacular these people are at their craft, I look forward to my followup appointment and any other usually dreaded dental work to come.

I received a bill "which Im planning to pay" and I had a question about details on this bill. I called their office 5 times waiting to speak with Angela or Heather. Interesting is in one day I called them two times, and bout times when I called "one time at 10 and onetime at 4, Heather was at lunch! Also Angela was busy all the time. finally 6th time when I called their receptionist, Kaila "which was very rude" told me, with judgement voice, that I should pay this bill without complaint. After while she told me my cleaning and X-ray wasnt completely covered by my insurance, and actual when I called to make appointment, they told me my insurance is covering everything and my balance would be 0. After I received this bill and calling them 6 times. I found out my insurance just covering part of my appointment. this clinic is not liable and I can not trust them about information they gave me. so i stayed on line to speak with Angela, and they hanged up on me and when i called them back and they didnt answered right the way i called them from another phone number and they answered. If I could give them 0 star I would. Im sorry for this business and management that choose this staff.

I started going to Dr. Lankford about 1 1/2 years ago and really enjoy my visits. The staff is extremely organized and for a group of women working together the morale is amazing!! Norma is my hygenist and is AMAZING! She stays on me about my visits and also follows up with phone calls and cards to check up on me. Everyone in the office is friendly and always willing to pitch in and accomodate their paitents needs. I dont live or work close to their office but they are aware of that and make my appointments ealry in the mornings to accomodate my schedule and have me in and out of my appointments. I recently had Brite Smile done in their offices on a Saturday and I did experiance some sensitivty durning my treatment but the technician was right there to help make me comfortable. I am constantly referring friends or co workers to this office. My Mom was a dental hygentist for several well known dentists in the Houston area in my younger years so I have spent alot of time around this environment, however Dr. Lankford and his staff exceed them all truely!
