Id like to write a fair review for people searching for the right dentist. My experience with Briar Forest Dental left me with mixed views. I believe they offer competent dental services, and the staff and Dr. Huang seem like good people. My hesitation in recommending this practice comes from my overall experience. My appointment for my dental exam and cleaning was 40 min behind schedule, due to a hygienist being unable to come in that day. I would have appreciated a call from the office letting me know they were double booked, so I could have had the chance to reschedule. During my appointment there were frequent times when the staff was bouncing between patients, leaving a lot of extra wait time. I also feel that the service I received was rushed. Three of my bite wings had to be redone, and the dental exam was very quick: 2-3 min at most. Admittedly I have good teeth, but it was a faster exam than any I have previously had. The dental cleaning was also the first where my gums have bled profusely, which I attribute to quick and hard scaling. Separate from this, I noticed some other things I am not accustomed to, but could be common in other practices. The instrument tray was not unwrapped from its plastic protection, instead the instruments were laid on top. During the cleaning the suction device was hooked to my mouth and left continuously running. When changing from water to air the extra water was sprayed on my bib, mostly, rather than in a sink. Before I left I was asked to address my own reminder card, though they had just received my address in my patient forms. The interior of the office could use a little TLC, but this could be because of the landlord and not the practice. The entirety of my visit, from my appointment time to conclusion, was two hours and twenty minutes. Due to the overall experience, I will not return to this practice.

They spend more time trying to up-sell your procedure than properly performing the one they charge your insurance for. I came in for routine cleaning (D1110 Prophylaxis-adult) that was supposed to be covered by my insurance. They informed me that I had tartar/calculus build-up and attempted to sell me a more expensive procedure for $125 just to remove the tartar/calculus. I declined the additional procedure that should have been included in the routine cleaning. They charged my insurance for the (D1110 Prophylaxis-adult) and basically flossed than brushed my teeth with prophy paste. This took them less than 10 mins. Ive had my teeth cleaned countless times by other dental offices which have always included scaling, flossing, and polishing. When properly performed, these cleaning procedures last 30-45 minutes. The American Dental Associations description for D1110 Prophylaxis-Adult is: "A dental prophylaxis performed on transitional or permanent dentition, which includes scaling and polishing procedures to remove coronal plaque, calculus, and stains." Its ironic their websites even has a video of the proper Prophylaxis procedure called "Hand scaling and polishing"

I am not sure how all the good reviews are coming from? (if you notice most of them are added around the same time) Overall impression is: Not trustworthy (both the staffs and dentist). I would stay away from this dental office to avoid future problem. But if you really want to give it a try, then here are a few things to look out for: 1-They might insist you need more expensive procedure no matter what. That will cost you more out of pocket, and apparently they will make more money from it as well. 2-Office is very disorganized at least in terms of scheduling. 3-The dentist hoops around different patients and trying to do many things at the same time. You may get very limited feedback about your teeth. But the big problem is: their final report is different from what you are told in person by the dentist. That is why you cannot trust the "recommended" procedures. All I can say is: Be very careful about this dental office.

My family visited this dental office for years. The staff is great! I got nothing but the best to say about their service. My two little girls (3 years old and 5 years old) love to visit the office. They feel right at home with the friendly staff. Recently, Im done with my Clear Correct treatment, its an alternative to braces. I tried the braces, it was just not for me. So, I switched to Clear Correct, which uses removable clear trays to adjust my teeth. I had the best experience using the Clear Correct. With the Clear Correct, I can remove the tray when I brush and eat - Plus I dont look like a teenager with a braces. Clear Correct gives me the flexibility that I needed and the result is perfect. I recommended Clear Correct to my friends and a few of them are going through the Clear Correct treatment. They all have positive feedback. Thank you Dr. Huang, for giving me the million dollars smile!!!

i have been to a lot of dentists and this by far Dr Convert is the best. It is so hard to find a good dentist that actually puts your needs first and not how much money they want to bill you. Dr. Convert is very gentle when working on you and she always provide all the possible treatment plan options and not force you to do anything or provide you with the most expansive treatment plan. and the office manager Ms. Dee shes super awesome, cool to talk to and not just want to selling the treatment plans. This really makes it so much easier to go to a dentist on a regular basis for people who are scared of the dentist like me.

Dr. Huang is a very knowledgeable and reliable dentist. All the staff that I have experienced so far are super nice, caring and helpful! I recently had my teeth whitening here for the first time and I came out looking fabulous! They are very caring in taking care of their patients. They also give me many tips on how to maintain and care for my teeth so theres anyways something to take away. Trust is the most important thing for a long term relationship and I will strongly recommend all my family and friends to come here for sure! They are all professionals here! Thank you!

I am a healthcare professional and Dr. Huangs patient. I am inspired by his sincerity and passion for patient-centered care. As a healthcare professional, I observed a lot of attributes that I can learn from him. As a patient, I am relieved that Ive finally found the dentist and office staff that meet all my criteria, and beyond.

The office is clean, and the staff has always been very friendly, professional, and accommodating with us. Dr. Huang takes his time to explain the symptoms and preventive measures. Had an implant procedure done and it was painless. We have been going to to this dental clinic for over 5 years now and would highly recommend it.
