I had gone to see my regular dentist about a week before my vacation to Nantucket. I had a sharp shooting pain in my jaw and pressure in my sinus but even with x-rays my dentist couldn’t see anything wrong. Two days into my trip I woke up with another horrible shooting pain and blood in my mouth. It was the weekend, and I was desperate, so I left Dr. Torre a voicemail explaining the issue. She called me back to access the situation and she told me she would see me immediately. It turned out I had a hairline crack in my tooth which had caused an abscess. She gave me a double dose of antibiotics on the spot to reduce the swelling and sent me to the pharmacy with an antibiotics prescription. She explained that once the swelling had been reduced, the pain would subside. In the meantime, she told me to take Advil for the pain. I was highly skeptical but it turned out she was right. Once the swelling had been reduced the pain dissipated to a normal toothache and after a day or two I didn’t even have to take the Advil. Dr. Torre shared my x-rays with my dentist at home who scheduled me for a root canal at home and I was able to enjoy the rest of my vacation while the antibiotics took care of the infection.

I was very distressed reading another review. I have gone to Dr. Torre for many years as many friends and family have and she and her office are nothing but professional. As my father was a very highly regarded periodontist i know what a good dentist is. You can expect only the best from this office and Dr. Torre.

Dr.T spent over a hour pulling one tooth. It wss torture. But not as bad as the recovery. She sent me hinge with instructions to take enough Advil to cause bleeding. No pain medication! I begged. She suggested I take yet more Advil! Im done, she enjoys giving others pain.
