After receiving a $1,500 procedure by Dr. Zive for a veneer that probably did not need to be done, I went back to his office today to have a minor chipped tooth fixed. Dr. Zive came in looked at the tooth for approximately 20 seconds and said “I can fill the tooth but it will chip right off when you eat something hard, or I can shave some of the tooth off.” I said I would rather not have it shaved, once he knew I didn’t want the shaving to be done he then told me that if he did the filling there was only a very small chance it would chip. I decided I didn’t want this dentist who must have had one too many cups of coffee as his legs restlessly shook throughout our conversation to touch my mouth, so he showed me to the receptionist. He had written up a $90 bill for the three minutes he had spoken with me. This man has zero respect for his patients, and recommends whatever procedure gives him the most profit. BEWARE, don’t go to this Dr. he will give you bad dental work at a very expensive price.

I made an appointment after seeing their new patient special advertised on their website. I asked the secretary about the special when making my appointment, to which she agreed on the pricing. I actually had a good experience at my appointment, the hygienist was nice. The secretary was out on the day of my appointment, so I dealt with the dentist on my way out. I again spoke with him about the new patient discount. He told me I could not use my supplementary insurance plan and get the special. I knew I would pay more out of pocket if I used my plan, so asked him not to charge my insurance. He told me not to worry, he would bill me. When I got my bill I saw he had charged me full price and had already billed my insurance. Assuming it was a mistake, I called to discuss the matter. The dentist was rude, harsh, uncaring, and in the end needs a refresher course in business ethics. I would not let a man who is this rough and abrasive touch my teeth ever again!

Dr. Zive and his staff have been friendly and professional from the very first visit. I love the fact that his crowns are made in-house so they can be installed in one visit. Ive had had three so far over the years and they have all fit perfectly with no issues. I was just there the other day for a cleaning and actually learned a few things from Erica the dental hygienist, about cleaning and flossing that I wouldnt have known otherwise. Plus she is just as up to date with technology as the doctor. Sure, its a simple thing, but she was wearing a headlamp for lighting which I had never seen before and of course makes perfect sense the first time you see it being used. Much easier than dealing with an overhead lamp since its automatically pointing wherever she is looking. All in all a great dental office, glad I found someone this good right here in Westfield.

Do not go to this place!!, I went there in late May this year for the year clean up. During the summer I kept having pain in ear, upper jab, and back tooth. I kept thinking " it cannot be problems with my teeth, I just saw the dentist". I finally decided to go back to the same Dr. and surprise! I had a wisdom tooth that needed to be removed due to severe decay. It was very upsetting, that even thought I was at their office barely two months ago I was having such a problem. I was in pain for those two months. The Dr. just missed the problem that tooth had, he was careless and didnt do preventive care. I went to another dentist and I needed the X-Rays taken in this office. I Had to pay $35 dollars for a copy in paper from the computer,. I had to pay for a service that had already being paid for the insurance. Horrible service.n

I went to this office for an emergency extraction and have seen them ever since. Zive doesnt hand you any bull--he tells you the situation as it is and offers solutions, explaining each one with great detail. His staff is fantastic as well, almost like hairdressers when it comes to friendly chat and getting you in and out with a new look. And for someone who is absolutely terrified of dentists, I actually had an extremely positive experience when it comes to the most dreaded dentistry of all: root canals. I had two by him, each one finished within 30 min. and leaving me with almost no pain. As for the complaints about personality, once you get to know Zive you find that hes actually a funny, nice guy. Great dentist.

I just left Dr. Zives office and I am on cloud nine. After years and thousands of dollars spent on my teeth that continued to fail me, he has given me my smile and self confidence back. To my amazement he literally rebuild with crowns and a bridge on the top righthand side of my mouth all new teeth and all in one day. I am so happy and pleased. The service is fast and friendly, and he has the latest technology available to take care of your needs in one place and one visit. No more impressions made. The computer and the doctor took care of everything. PLEASE take my advice, go and see him, you wont be sorry. GREAT DOCTOR - GREAT STAFF - GREAT TECHNOLOGY.

Im going to tell you a story about this dentist. My sister Nicki, a nine year old girl, at a cleaning was told she would need to come back for fillings. My other sister prepared Nichole for this as she has had them done in the past. She went in ready for fillings. Well when she came out she was in absolute tears.That scum didnt just give my 9 year old sister fillings he gave her a root canal and crown and pulled out three of the poor girls teeth. Nicki wasnt informed of the procedure and neither was my mother. No consent to this treatment was given. My mother cancelled her payment on the appointment. Hes now bringing us to a small claims court.

I always come here excited and ready for a great dentist experience! Just a few days ago I visited the office for a cleaning and Im always happy that theres a little to no wait and a warm environment. My dental hygienist knew exactly what she was doing at the same time as she was making me feel like she genuinely cared about me as a patient because Im sure she did. Always asking if everything is okay and making sure Im alright is definitely a great time at the dentist. Even afterwards the receptionist was very nice as she helped me schedule my next appointment. Great place for the family!

My son had an appointment today and we both appreciated the care that was given and the way we were treated. He had a scary procedure for a 9 year old and they made it seem like it was totally fine and he, in turn, responded to that. I would recommend this dentist to anyone. Not only were we treated wonderfully by him, but his assistant was also amazing. I will never take my son to another dental practice. These people are professionals and know how to treat both children and adults the same. So impressed there really are no words.....
