Ever feel like someone ripped your heart out from your chest and stomped it into the ground while you helplessly watch? Well thats the feeling fredon animal hospital gave me when being told that i cannot bring my cat out of the country because of their incompetence. My family has been driving 30 minutes out of the way for over a decade because we trusted this animal hospital very very much. I put my trust into them to get my cat out of the country and for them to give me the right information for this very time sensitive matter. They are the ones who do this, I am not. They tell me "well call you when the rabies test comes back," on September 15th. I call on October 3rd because the vet had not called yet and I asked for specific information and they told me not to worry. The vet will call you. They never did. I call again October 10th, 3 days before leaving, because I had yet to hear back. "Oh no youre supposed to bring him in for his final check up and mail out the paper work." Did you know sometimes the microchip doesnt work or falls out? I did not know that. "We have to redo all of the chipping and vaccinations that must be done 21 days prior to leaving the country. The usda might make an exception." The usda cannot make an exception. I now, on top of the $300 already spent, have to spend another $300 to change my flight or $1000 to have my cat shipped out. Thats $300 - $1000 that I do not have. Thats 21 days I have to be apart from my fiance and he has to be apart from us. This has all been entirely too stressful and the most they have done is wave the fees of redoing the chip and vaccinations. Theyre not paying for me to get my cat out of the country. I am even though I dont have the money and did everything as right as I could on my end. I am very disappointed that I had put my trust into them. After 10+ years of their care, I heed you go somewhere else to handle time sensitive matters.

I had a ferret who was severely sick and in need of seeing Dr. Linda Grau immediately. The receptionists were unprofessional and lied to me when they informed me that the doctor would call me back. This was on a Monday afternoon and I knew my ferret needed medical help ASAP. The receptionist informed me that they could not see my ferret until Friday. Needless to say, due to their cold nature and acting like my ferret was not important, my ferret ended up dying Wednesday night. So now my ferret is dead because this animal hospitals receptionists were cold and uncaring towards an animal in need. It was a dire emergency and they brushed her off telling me that her condition did not sound "life threatening". They are not doctors and would not let me speak to Dr. Grau to get her input on my ferrets condition - they assumed I was calling to get free advice. Considering the fact weve been a patient of Dr. Graus for several years and she has seen seven other of my ferrets whenever there was a problem in the past. As much as it pain me to say this, because I cannot blame Dr. Grau due to not even having a chance to speak to her and not hearing it from her directly, I do however blame the incompetent and non-educated staff who sit there and play phone-tag with clients and showed no compassion towards a grieving animal owner. This animal hospital needs to hire better, more compassionate staff members to answer their phones because they clearly dont like working with animals if they believe someone is calling for free advice when it really was a serious situation for my beloved ferret. I hope they can live with themselves knowing because they pushed her off and pushed me off from speaking to the doctor (after calling the office 3 times), that they basically killed my ferret instead of saving her life when she needed it.

If I could give them no stars, I would. When I called in the beginning of the week, I explained that my dog wasnt able to eat or drink unless i hand fed him, couldnt go to the bathroom, was lethargic, and crying. Underneath his anus is enlarged to the size of a ping pong ball. I told the receptionist that I would take the soonest appointment possible which would be a few days later. 5 times on the phone, we went over the appointment time for 4:20 pm as I put it in my calendar. Not only was I worried about my dog but I was originally supposed to drive down south the day before because a relative is fatally ill. I walked in 5 minutes after 4 and the shoulder length blonde receptionist insisted my appointment was for 3:20 and they could no longer see my dog. I pleaded with her to let me speak with a doctor because this was an emergency and I am leaving for North Carolina tonight. All I requested was for the doctor or a nurse to just take a look at the area under his anus to see what it could possibly be so I could tell a relative how to take care of him while I was gone...and she refused. I told her I could wait there until one of the doctors was free and she refused. I couldnt hold back the tears and begged once more. Not once did she say sorry, offer an appointment, let me speak with anyone, or offer any help other than referring me to another vet. Ive heard nothing but good things about this animal hospital and frankly Im appalled of her lack of empathy and hospitality.

very inexperienced vet techs who play know it all and dont even know the proper dose of anastisia to give a cat who could have died if this know it all shot my cat up with that dosage. hopefully she is no longer there. have not been happy with this hospital either, although much cheaper and have a little more concern about an animal than newton vet hospital. i used to go to dr gray at newton vet hospital until he killed two of my pets, and nearly killed one of my cats. i started to go to freedon animal clinic which used to be run by dr bridenbaugh. needless to say i have to find a dr like the old owner of this facility. dr bridenbaugh saved several of my animals, and my animals always loved him, even though he didnt have the best personality with humans he was an extrordinary vet. the length of my pets lives under this drs care....three dogs, one lived 15 years, one lived 19 years, and one lived 17 years.thrree cats, one lived 25 years, this was the cat that brought me to dr bridenbaugh to begin with when dr gray failed. the other two cats lived 20 years and 18 years. you know you have a good vet when your pets live that long and a vet does everything in his power to save that animal. he also wasnt concerned with money. he didnt care if you had money as long as you paid what you were ablet to each month, and there were times he never charged me. i totally miss that dr, and his wife, ive never had a vet that my animals loved as much as him.

My 7-month-old Maltese recently had an obstruction in his intestines. Terrified that my little 5-pound pup might already need surgery, I cant tell you the feeling of relief once I dropped him off here. Though it was quite a drive for me, it was so worth it. The place was literally immaculate!! Dr. Linda was very busy, but still took my emergency with open arms. She had already had a few surgeries lined up, but assured me that my dog would also be operated on that same day and that Id pick him up a couple days later. I called a bunch of times to check on him (maybe even too many times) and the staff kindly kept telling me that I could call as many times as Id like, which was very comforting. When I picked him up you could just see the care and affection he received and thats huge. Not to mention the unbeatable price!! I would have paid almost DOUBLE at a vet close to my home with terrible ratings. Healing process went really well too. Incision was small (esp considering the size of the object she took out!) and he was back to his normal self in no-time. Just an all around great experience. Someone very close to me recommended Dr. Linda and I couldnt be more thankful. Though this hospital is an hour away from my home, I definitely will not go anywhere else!
