I took my dog here ONLY because i had a pet insurance discount card that my normal vet Audubon veterinary does not take. I was interested in doing some preventative blood work for my senior dog and getting a distemper shoot he was due for. when i went to the website i saw that new patient exams were free. OK awesome! so i made an appt. I took my dog in and he wasnt even seen by a doctor before vet tech started trying to sell me a bridge. she had stated senior blood work was $250. i was quoted $80 at Audubon veterinary hospital so i declined the blood work and figured id just take him to our original Audubon vet. i waited a good 30 mins for the Dr to come in. When he did come in he did not introduce himself, make eye contact with me and was just babbling to himself. i had no idea what he was saying and seriously debated on picking up my dog and leaving then however i decided that maybe he was just socially awkward. once he warmed up he actually ended up being very nice and knowledgeable. he did a full exam and determined my dog needed a teeth cleaning but in otherwise perfect health. the staff told me he would need a distemper booster and i can just make an appt for just the booster itself so i made the appt before i left. fast forward about 3 weeks, i take him in for his booster. i was asked again whether i wanted to do blood work and fecal exam to which i said no. There goes that bridge again. waiting for the doctor who came in pretty quickly however it was a different Dr. his English was pretty hard to understand at times which i had to ask him to repeat himself a few times. he did another full exam which i was a little confused about because he was just supposed to have a shot. Had i known at that moment this was considered an actual exam to where i would be charged $60 i would have told him to stop. When he checked my dogs ears he asked if my dog was itching them to which i said no. he said they look a little read and offered me medicine to which i declined and said my dog has never had issues with his ears before and if he did it was unnoticeable and cleared up on its own. another bridge. He then asked me if my dog coughs a lot at night to which i said no. he then said my dog has a heart murmur and i should do all these tests to make sure its not congenital or congestive heart failure. no vet has ever mentioned a heart murmur in 10 years and especially the Dr at the same hospital he saw 3 weeks ago. huge bridge there.... i declined the tests and decided then id take him to Audubon for a second opinion. i get to the desk to pay and low and behold i owe a little over $100 when all he needed was a booster shot. the tech told me they have to do an exam for all seniors getting shots??? why wasnt i told that before. i have no clue. moral of this review is if they are offering $20 off your next visit for a positive google review(which is buying you off), a free new patient exam, and the only place in a 20 mile radius that excepts this discount card they are desperate for patients because nobody ever goes back!!!!! ps reading their comments back to some of these reviews are crazy. insanely unprofessional and borderline antagonizing.

Several weeks ago I was traveling and had to stay in New Jersey. I had a sick parrot traveling with me. My regular vet was out of the country, so I called one of my friends in Cherry Hill and asked him if he knew of a good local vet in the area who would see my bird. He told me not too many vets see birds as their handling and medical care is very different from dogs and cats. So I had no choice but to search for a local veterinary emergency hospital. I called the local emergency veterinary hospital on Marlton Pike but the girl there told me that the exotic veterinarian who saw birds was off for the day and was not available to see the birds even the next day. She offered me to schedule an appointment for a later date. This made me very nervous, but I was stuck with my regular vet being away and I was not in my hometown. As I was about to schedule an appointment for a later date, I got a call from the same friend and he gave me the contact information of Dr. Munir who works at Collingswood Veterinary Hospital and see dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and as well as birds. He said he had good experience with this vet as he takes his pets to this veterinarian. I called Dr. Munirs clinic number and they squeezed me in for an appointment for my sick bird same day. Dr. Munir performed a thorough exam and told me that my birdie has are respiratory disease. He gave an antibiotic injection and prescribed oral medicine and a special food. My bird recovered well after using that medicine for 14 days. I was very impressed the way Dr. Munir handled and treated my birdie. Many thanks to Dr. Munir, his professional staff and my friend who took me there. I met another client in the waiting room who was talking very highly of this state of the art veterinary facility. I felt a little uneasy with the receptionist but I will still gave the hospital 5 stars because of Dr. Munir and his staff professionalism. Later, I researched online about Dr. Munir and Collingswood Veterinary Hospital and learned that they are highly respected hospital. I do not live in New Jersey. Otherwise, I will always take my birds and dog to Collingswood Veterinary Hospital.

My childhood pets have been going to this clinic for years and have had no complaints. But my recent experience has been horrific. I adopted a cat from the SPCA last week and noticed something falling off her fur. Made an immediate appointment. The Vet who tended to my cat was helpless. He seemed like a nice guy but I left there without a clue on what was wrong with my new cat but $62 spent. Though he couldnt tell me what was wrong he kept insisting that since the cat had a upper respiratory infection that its caused by cat herpies and theres no way to test for it and that I should just get the vaccine. He guessed at what the problem could be and suggested I buy a drug from there that doesnt even say it treats what it "could" be. I just didnt appreciate how this all made me feel, its like hey dont know what on your cats fur and whats infesting your home but get these vaccines and blood work your total is $698, thanks. After I left I was stressed because I was still clueless, but I eventually diagnosed my cats symptoms on my own by doing a few hours of research. I did however speak with the owner the next day and he gladly fit my cat in his schedule to re-evaluate her free of charge. He was very kind and seemed knowledgful. But made me feel like he was doing me a favor by squeezing me in and not charging me. Honestly thats just sending the wrong vibe to your customers. After what Ive been through dealing with the person you hired, spending my day off to diagnosis my cat after she left a licensed Vet, stressing over a plan of treatment, given a wrong/guessed diagnosis I guess I expected some sympathy and compassion from the owner. He just seemed like he didnt want to pick sides. But Im not the professional. If my cat was diagnosed correctly that would be documented on her paper work and there would have been no issues. No one wants to send there pet somewhere and leave with no answers or guidance but have to pay their hard earned money. The staff is great, I just wanted to share my story and after this Im not sure if Ill ever go back honestly.
