Honesty, integrity, empathy, respect..oh and ensuring the well being of patients. These are some of the things that instantly come to my mind when I think of a competent dentist and truthfully these all were probably the pillars of an oath that all dentists are supposed to take while in school. However to Dr. Tim Kalavrouziotis at Gateway Dental practicing these attributes were mere words on a paper. This oath was nothing more than a futile attempt to reconcile the truth with reality. Dr. Kalavrouziotis and his office staff embody all that is wrong with health care today. Unless greed, manipulation, disrespect, fraud, and selfishness were somehow amended into the pledge these people took then they are doing a HUGE disservice to the dental profession and to overall health care system. Basically this office messed up my gums and then wanted to charge me cash to fix it because apparently insurance does not pay for "screw ups." However my insurance was billed, they did pay, and so did my pocket. Tell your family and friends-stay away from Dr. Kalavrouziotis and his staff.

I never write reviews but had to write one after reading the one below. My experience was so different. We had to switch dentists because our insurance changed and tried this dentist, who was referred to us by our neighbors. I went to this office last week with my five year old and seven year old. The doctor was so good with my kids. I was nervous because he is not a pediatric specialist, but he was patient and explained everything to me and them before beginning. We only had cleanings and xrays but was very happy. Yeah, no cavities! Now I have to make an appointment for my husband who hasnt been to a dentist in over three years :)!

During the visit there was no pain, just lingering afterwards with Aetna dental insurance from the bill. Also I now have a serious problem with a tooth that he filled a cavity on. I had no issues with the tooth before but now its sensitive to both hot and cold temperatures, to which he did nothing to help the pain even after trying to fix his shoddy work with afterwards. So watch out, your teeth will end up in worse shape then they went in and your wallet will be lighter. Thanks Dr. Kalavrouziotis! Thanks for nothing.

Everyone is so nice, they are reasonable with the bill and do amazing work! If you need to be seen soon they will make accommodations. Highly reccommended
