I rarely write reviews and it pains me to write a negative one as I try stay positive, but unfortunately Dr. Jones falls short of being a competent or caring physician. His office is without a doubt the most unprofessional Ive ever encountered. I rarely see doctors, but had an occasion to see one to preclude the presence of a potential infection. I saw Dr. Jones for all of 5 minutes, he rushed through my examination and questions; fine I can accept that hes a doctor and is busy with numerous patients. The real nightmare began after I left his office. It was impossible to reach him. I attempted to contact him numerous times to ask him a legitimate question , and got the runaround for well over a month by his staff simply because I had concerns as to the validity of his diagnostic treatment that ran contrary to what he learned. This is typical doctor behavior Ive come to realize, particularly ones who make mistakes; theyve gone to medical school and immediately dismiss your concerns because you lack medical certification. Youre wrong, and theyre right, simply because theyre doctors. This is also typical behavior of quack doctors. My concerns as to his diagnostic testing were due to mountains of evidence and studies that I read that ran contrary to what the doctor believed. I tried to contact him for well over a month, and was very patient with his office. And what did I want? To just have a second diagnostic test ordered. In fact, I stated numerous times that I would pay for this test out of pocket. I didnt want drugs, I didnt want a test on the insurances dime, I wanted one because I felt it was medically necessary to be dispositive. When I finally started complaining loud enough, I got through. I got in contact with a nurse who spoke with Dr. Jones, only to have her tell me that Dr. Jones dismissed my concern, would not order the second test, and would not even speak with me, even though Im a patient of his! My advise to anyone reading this, ignore his office. Perhaps if you have a cold or some simple ailment, hes just as good as any other doctor. But hes uncaring, and dismissive if you challenge him, and only wants to push patients through to improve his bottom line(unsurprisingly money is a major motivation of many doctors /sarcasm). Ive been lucky enough to meet a few doctors who treat patients with respect, dont dismiss them, and actually care for their wellbeing. Dr. Jones falls short on all these qualifications.

Dr. Rhys Jones is an excellent primary care physician. Always on the know with the latest and greatest in medicine, and he is not stingy with sharing information and his knowledge. Dr. Rhys Jones will explain all to you and in detail. He may run late, but its only because he is attending to the questions of other patients. Although ALL the doctors and clinical staff at Valley are exceptional, patients demand Dr. Jones by name, and you will too. I have recommended him several times. We feel lucky to have Dr. Rhys Jones as our primary care physician.
