This place works more like assembly line factory then a Doctor office. They scheduled too many people at the same time which makes the wait time very long and time with the Dr very short. My experience with this office was that they are more concern about making money then the patient well being. I was diagnosed with Basel Cell Carcinoma (BCC) on my foot and Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) on the top of my head and was scheduled for 2 separate appointment to removed them with the Moh procedure. I asked to remove them both on the same day but Dr. Z said that he cannot do it because that will increase the chance of infection. I later had a second opinion by another Dr and was told that whenever you open skin there is a risk for infection but it is THE SAME RISK whether you do it on the same day or on 2 different days. When I asked why a physician will scheduled 2 appointment I was told that this way he can charge twice instead of once. Few months later I felt another bump on my head right at the location of the first bump and was diagnosed again with SCC. Dr Z wanted me to have another Moh procedure which is invasive and doesnt promise that another SCC will pop up. After going to another Dr. a skin cancer specialist, for second opinion I was put me on a Topical Cream -Fluorouracil which clear me completely. When I asked Dr Z. why didnt he offered me this option, which is not invasive and can treat a wider area, he said that this cream is not approved by the FDA which my second DR said is not true. Clearly the second option was much more effective and MUCH MUCH cheaper but that will generate less income to the Dr.

This is the worst dermatologist Ive ever been to because of the office staff. I really honestly never write reviews about anything but I just want people to know to never go there even if the doctors are good. I understand what the environment of health care offices should be because I also work as a health professional, and you should never treat patients the way these people do. the billing department people literally cut you off while youre speaking and straight out lie to you. I had to pay out of pocket for a visit which was covered through my insurance and so when I asked for a refund check, they kept saying that they never received a payment from my insurance company. I had to call my insurance company and have them literally speak to the billing person at this office (Anne-Marie) because she would not speak to me like a normal person. My insurance company had to put me on the other line to hear what the billing person was saying and she straight out said something completely different to the insurance company than what she said to me. I really dont understand how these people go to sleep at night. I dont know if this person is either keeping patients money or this office is just not willing to pay their dues. It is just a corrupt office.

I have tried many dermatologists and I would have to say this is by far the best one in the Queens area. The wait isnt too bad. I waited for a good 30 minutes but the girl at the front desk was kind enough to offer to give me a call when it was my turn while i shopped across the street. I was nervous at first but when I saw the people that came into the office made me feel much better because all the patients had similar problems like me. I agree with a few posts that I didnt get to see the real doctor I saw the P.A. but still my experience was great. I had really bad cystic acne on my face and every dermatologist I went to perscribed me the same thing and the doctors would see you for 30 seconds. She took the time to talk to me asked me if I am eating right and menstrual cycles. I spoke to her about my skincare routine. It was great! I felt like she really cared. I went to her Friday and it is now Monday and I can tell the difference in my face already! Great doctor! The P.A. name Mary Ann Pelzer!

I hate to review anyone poorly but, I was hoping to make an appointment today. Before they open at 9 am I checked their website and saw there was appointments available for today.. score.. they are located so close to my home.. double score. When I called i requested to make an appointment for today and the receptionist said sure and asked for my last name. When I told her i was a new patient I was told no and I would have to make an appointment tomorrow. Unfortunately i was unable to make that work and asked if there was any way to make it for today. I let the receptionist now that I saw on their website there was open appointments today . I called at 9:20 am, she told me that their website is not up to date and a lot of people called in and booked appointments already when they opened. Thankfully, i found another DR that was able to take me today right away! Sounds like paperwork did not want to be done today for a new patient.

The dermatologists at this office are great and professional. However, I will never return to this office because of the incompetent staff. My dermatologist prescribed me some medications and I told the staff the exact address of my pharmacy multiple times. And yet, they kept sending my prescription to a different pharmacy that was nowhere near the one I go to. I work at a dental office so I know getting the correct pharmacy for prescriptions is not difficult. The fact that I even told them the other pharmacy was incorrect and they failed to change it shows that theyre not experienced and lazy. Also, I had to wait 2 hours past my appointment time to see a dermatologist. No matter how busy the office is, I find that unacceptable and unprofessional. It just shows that the staff fail to properly schedule appointments. Even though this place takes my insurance and the doctors are great, its not worth wasting my time.

I use to go to this office just for Dr Phoebe, BUT I CANNOT go there anymore. Their service is HORRID. They billed my sister a HUGE bill in end of Oct when she went to the office in July. They couldnt figure out how to bill her insurance. They staff who takes care of the calls and the paperwork DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOBS. They always have attitude and bad service. For example: I make an appt for 4 I end up going waiting at least 1 - 2 hours to actually go get diagnoses. Every time someone calls me for either a bill or I call them for some issue I am always on hold for at least 5 - 15 minutes with no answer and the ending resulting is someone screaming at me with no answer. There is also a little hispanic lady who is always so rude and obnoxious.

I went in with a concern over losing my eyebrow hair and was met with a team that was ready to match my concern with proper and sufficient care. Dr Z and his staff took me in as quick as possible and worked with me by asking me questions and examining the area of hair loss until a proper diagnosis was made. After I was diagnosed with alopecia areata, Dr Z gave me the best methods to treating my skin condition. When he gave me shots in the infected area I felt little to no pain!!! It was truly an amazing experience. The office manager Nina also gave me free samples of the creams I am supposed to put so I can have some time to go to the pharmacy and get my prescription in. Truly an amazing office with an amazing staff and dermatologist.
