The BILLING department is awful. I have been paying on this hospital bill for a good while now, and owe $310 now. I asked to get it reviewed to see if they would allow me to pay half to settle the account. They said it would take 2 weeks to get an answer. I called to see if I could get an answer, and They told me there was no record of it being sent for review or no record of my conversation with the young lady. So they told me they would send it off for review. I waited 2 weeks and called back, and they told me that it takes 4-6 weeks to get an answer and it would be done either by phone call or by letter. Well, yesterday at approximately 5:15PM, I got a call from someone in the billing department. She told me they are willing to take $175 to pay the account off. I told her that I was told.$256 approximately. I asked if she could see if they would take $145 or $150, and she said she would have to check with her supervisor. She said she would call me back tomorrow morning or shortly after lunch (September 22). I asked if I could call her back at this number on caller ID, and she said yes. So, I called today at 1:30PM. and they declined the settlement. I told them someone from your BILLING department was trying to receive $175 from me to settle the account yesterday, Sept. 22, but I wanted to see if they would take $145 instead. Brianna at ext 115 said the note in the system said the review had been denied and full payment was to be in full. I told her this isnt right that a girl had called me from their office yesterday trying to get $175 to settle and close the account. Brianna said that there was no record on their system showing that anyone called. So I requested to talk to a supervisor, and I spoke to a "Cincldy". Cindy said she could see the notes conversation from yesterday with the girl who called to settle the account. I told Cindy to either accept either $145 or $155 or I will pay $1 a month or less than that. BILLING department at Providence is messed up. I normally go through ext 216, but a lady named Kim there does not return phone calls so I have to call back later in the month to make a payment, because Kim has never returned a phone call like she said she would on her voice mail. There are too many bosss over the bosss in BILLING department. The boss s who work in the billing department should have the right to make decision, since they handle the calls and are more familiar with the clients than their own bosss. I plan on writing a Better Business Bureau Report. I have always loved Providence, but the billing department ruined it.

As someone with chronic pancreatitis I have had more than my fair share of dealings with Providence and I cant imagine they like seeing me so much but they have always been more than just helpful, professional, and kind-they have given me the strength to keep fighting. Every one of the staff members, from nurses to guards to emergency room and hospital front desk attendants has been amazing, even when I am in so much pain I act like a complete ass. The Drs--specifically Dr. Elwell, have been more than I could ask in every way. I dont have time to describe eveything they have done for me but they are more than just doctors, they are kind people who genuinely care and in all my dealings with the medical field I have never found the level of understanding and encouragement that I have found from these people. I wasnt always a religious person but the examples I found in this hospital have brought me much closer to understanding what a true selfless attitude can accomplish in this life, and I would be proud to be half the man these people are.

This was the worst hospital / ER visit I have ever been through. I was completely beyond going in the first place, but after almost 2 weeks of being in almost constant pain. Then with today being so very weak, dizzy, nauseated, & unable to even really stand up without feeling dizzy. I forced myself to go. I spent the whole afternoon/evening being in tears, but not to the point where I was unable to try to through ly explain every aspect of my situation etc.... But I was treated as if I was somehow undeserving of even being spoken to like an adult. I was repeatedly asked the same questions regarding why I was there, or even if I was able to determine where & when I was. I felt so insulted by this experience that I will Never go again to seek treatment even if I am officially dieing. And I will never be able to recommend this Hospital to anyone, even someone I dont particularly like.

Im having a really hard time with this injury... Its gotten worse and moved to the other side as well I went to the er as recommended by my second visit to urgent care. I was rushed through like cattle being guided through a slaughter house cat scan and x rays 8 hours later a woman who I never saw before comes in and says its abdominal pain lots of viruses going are going around completely ignoring the massive budge on my side and the fact it feels like my ribs are being ripped apart from the inside for almost a month and it getting worse. So now I need a primary and o I prob just got billed 30k or more. This injury cost me my job. I have been miserable for a month now. In complete agony. And they brush me off like some animal. I would have gotten better service at a vets office. Im scared and now getting depressed that no one can help me. I really need help.

I had a three hour surgery and from the moment of arrival in admitting to the RNs on the floor to the post operating recovery my nurse Tasha was very caring to the point of when finding out that I needed new crutches she got on that phone and took care of it while making sure that my pain was managed with true care Then finally different nurses on a different shift at 7 pm were so friendly making sure before I left. that I knew how to use the crutches and two of them wheeled me to my ride home. Everyone made a painful injury and surgery made me feel better with such positive friendly professional demeanor and true caring. Thank you all there God bless you as you make bad situations better.

I was there at 10pm yesterday cause I had fallen on my ankle that I had surgery back in 2005. When I first got there I was not sure how good of a hospital it would be because the front desk was doing their own thing. After we got checked in it went great. Within 20 min I was in a room and already seen by a doctor. All the staff was nice and even joked around with me about falling trying to make me feel better. I checked out at 12am. I have never in my life went to a emergency room and only stayed two hours and got such a wonderful care as I did there. Such an amazing hospital I will recommend anyone with any emergency to go there and I will never go to any other hospital.
