I wish I could give this place negative stars. My mother went in for dialysis. She ended up losing her life due to incompetent nurses, doctors who could care less, and horrible treatment. Medically induced complications and incompetence killed her. THE JOINT COMMISSION needs shut this so called hospital down...NOW!!! Do not send anyone you love and care about here. My mother should still be alive! This is also not a full service hospital. No wound care, no neurology, no infectious disease people- nothing. I have pages and pages of legitimate complaints for The Joint Commission. Under no circumstances should you allow your loved ones to be treated here.

Had worst came in before like 6 ppl and ended up going in 2hrs later was there 9:30 to 12:20 and for the doctor Jose Lopez just came in was coming in for second time do to I had harder pains than in the morning and told me that with the pain killers I would stop and I could of gone to my regular doc well he might as well told me he did wanna see me dont ever EVER EVER EVER GO TO HARLINGEN MED IF JOSE LOPEZ IS THE DOC

We were really impressed with the doctors, nurses, therapists, and staff at HMC during our moms emergency situation which lead to a complicated surgery. Everyone we encountered truly cared about our moms well-being and made themselves available to help and/or answer any questions we had. In doing so, we had peace of mind that our focus could be directed towards our moms recovery instead of the healthcare.

Communication has to improve drastically from health care professionals to patients and their families. My mom has been at this hospital for 3 days. Trying to get updates on her prognosis has been like pulling teeth. She had x-rays done this morning on her spinal cord...still waiting for results at 8:45 P.M. Quality of care is mediocre at best.

My experience at this hospital was like a nightmare and it was only by necessity I wound up there for tripple bypass surgery. I am lucky to be alive after their post-op care. I doubt any nurse or staff member has any credentials whatsoever. Dont go to this place or take your loved ones there!

Arrived at ER and the staff was quick the doctors saw my bf right away, gave him aspirin for the pain, drew blood, & did an EKG. Everyone knew what they were doing. Great workers I also heard some one say "work smarter not harder" great critiquing
