I am a long-standing believer in chiropractic care, so when i moved across the country to Virginia Beach, I immediately began asking around about where I could find a good chiropractor in the area. A coworker ended up recommending Dr. Thoma, and on her recommendation I set up my first appointment. Since the first day I walked in a year ago, Dr. Thoma and his entire staff have been so wonderful. Its been nice to have a doctor that listens to issues and takes things I say into consideration for treatment. At every snag we hit in my treatment, Dr. Thoma has assessed possible causes for the issue and adjusted accordingly (no pun intended). The most recent change in my treatment has been prescription orthotic insoles. He started by measuring my arches and we moved from there to find the ones that went with my lifestyle (heavy labor, for sure). All i can say is that when it comes down to it, I have gone from limping out of a six hour shift to striding out of 8-10 hour shifts with no problem. My overall quality of life has improved under Dr. Thomas care and i highly recommend coming to his office. All other staff members are likewise friendly and knowledgeable, and make each visit sunny and comfortable. There is not a person in this office that I do not smile at instinctively and it makes for a wonderful atmosphere.

Ive been seeing Dr. Thoma and his team since July of 2016 and have never felt better! Im a professional ballet dancer and was diagnosed with scoliosis at the age of 10. Now, as a 22 year old, the curvature has increased and Ive been in pain every day. After a while, you get used to the discomfort and accept that its inevitable. Ive been to countless chiropractors around the country, but thanks to Cape Henry Chiropractic, Ive seen such a difference in my spine and overall health. With Dr. Thomas specialized care plan, I am now pain-free and in excellent performance condition. Seeing my own progress has been such an amazing experience. I didnt think it was possible to improve my scoliosis, but with Dr. Thomas expertise, I can feel and see the difference. As a ballet dancer, preventative maintenance is key, and thanks to the team at Cape Henry Chiropractic, Im performing better than I ever have. I love the new mindset PAIN IS NOT A LIFESTYLE ... which I found by meeting the wonderful crew at Cape Henry Chiropractic - the office of Dr. Thoma. I saw their sign, stating the above, in their bathroom on the first visit there and after eight weeks of high-tech, state-of-the-art chiropractic care including adjustment, laser, ionic foot-baths, supplements, and beginning a posture program, I feel SOOO much better! Not taking 2400 mg/day of ibuprofen (I know - bad, but needed at that point), no Tylenol (also bad to use daily, but again, necessary at that time), I dont ache all the time, I have more energy, I am exercising more and without as many consequences, and I am SO thankful to them! Ive had chiropractic care before that was helpful, but not to this degree and not at a time in my life where western medicine had failed me. Thank you to this great team of angels on this earth!!
