A friend recommended taking our cats to River Cove because of Dr. English and Dr. Lincolns gentle and experienced care with kitties (we have worked with both of those vets). We rescued our cats and they were ridden with upper respiratory infections and some other illnesses in their young lives. We saw the vets many times after a short period of adopting and the staff and veterinarians were amazing to help us cut costs and problem solve so that we didnt have to bring the cats in weekly. We have since seen Dr. Zehle and she is so attentive, knowledgeable and willing to work with our budget. The vet techs are helpful, always go out of their way to be friendly, and listen to our every worry over the phone and in the office. Your animals/furry babies will be well taken care of and loved at River Cove Animal Hospital!

I have had largely excellent experiences with the staff here. Dr. Zehles, Dr. English, and Dr. Jennings in particular have been very helpful, especially when my dog had a dietary indiscretion that required some intense follow-up work. They tried to cut costs for me by limiting the number of x-rays that they did and were very empathetic to my concerns about the situation. They also took my history and opinions into account when treating and helped me to access medication that she needed just as they were closing on a Saturday. Even though we have moved a couple of towns over, I will continue to bring our dog to them because I feel that she is in safe, competent and caring hands at River Cove.

We brought our 10 week old Jack Russel here for her second booster shot and deworming, not only did we get what we needed, but the veterinarian (Dr. Chu?) was so kind and helpful with telling us what more she may need (Heartworm medicine and dog to dog socialization), she reassured us that we seem to be doing a great job training her and feeding her the right amount, which is always great to hear from the doc! We have our second appointment coming up for next week and we will be happy to go back once again :) I highly recommend them for their kindness and great information for new puppy owners!

Weve brought all of our pets here for years. Because weve had a lot of pets, weve enjoyed the happiness of bringing in new additions for their initial check up and, sadly, bidding farewell to dear friends and soulmates. Theyve celebrated with us at times and offered heartfelt compassion and sympathy at other times. The staff, from desk personnel to the doctors have always been here for us, even when we needed them outside office hours. We would never take our pets anywhere else.

Dr English and the staff are fantastic. He takes phenomenal care of my 11 year old shepherd / husky / malamute mix who has a mixed bag health issues. They return phone calls whenever I have a question about Zuk and always check how hes doing. Zuk is very protective since my husband passed away but tell him were going to see Dr. English and he cant wait to get in the car.

I have been taking my animals to River Cove Animal Hospital for almost 20 years. I have not met a more compassionate and professional group. They have kept elderly animals going for extra years, very compassionately helped me say goodbye to some pets, and have saved the life of our young shelter cat who aquired a life threatening infection. I cannot recommend them enough.

The staff was kind, gentle and caring with my large, handful of a pup. They were mindful of my budget and provided estimates for all of his care before they began. I highly recommend River Cove Animal Hospital and Dr Joel English, last night he came to the house to put my baby to rest. Most places wouldnt have done that, when she first got sick he would call me once a week to follow up. Great place, wonderful people, and reasonable price.

We have a puppy we started bringing here after a recommendation from a friend that they practice alternative medicine from time-to-time. Im not sure I would call them alternative, but they are very on top of things and we have been completely satisfied so far.

Not a good place to bring cats. The noise level of the dogs is too loud, they are barking and crying in the back of the facility. In the waiting room the dogs roam freely coming over to my cat cage, making the experience overall more stressful for the cat.

I called the hospital 15min before closing for my dog. They took her on emergency basis and stayed another hour after closing time. I have been taking my three pets over there and always getting the best service. I would highly recommend them to everybody!

I showed up about a minute late for my appointment. It was the end of the day and the Vet was pretty cold and unenthusiastic. Ill be bringing my business to someone who smiles when I pay them $150 for a 30 minute check-up.

Ive always had a great experience here. Dr. Lincoln is probably the only person outside immediate family my cat likes, and feels at ease with. He takes the time to snuggle my cat before doing any procedures.
