My pups have been going to Dr. Guzy since we adopted them two and a half years ago. About the doctor - I really like Dr. Guzy. He seems knowledgeable and always willing to help and offer advice. Being a first time puppy parent, I had a lot of questions during those early months. I loved that I could call the office and explain whatever situation was going on to Nancy (the receptionist) or Dr. Guzy and they would be willing to help me without forcing me to come in for an appointment. About the office/staff - The office is clean and inviting. They are accommodating when it comes to appointments; I am always able to get an appointment on the same day that I call. They also let me cancel appointments with no issue (not that this has happened very often, but sometimes things come up at the last minute - or my dog stopped faking injuries LOL). Nancy (the receptionist) is great! Shes super friendly and really cares about all their patients. Every time I come into the office, Nancy and the other staff always ask me about both of my boys, no matter if theyre with me or not. All in all, I love this vet office. Thanks for being so awesome!

We were told by someone to avoid this place, but since it is so close we figured it was convenient enough to try. First of all, Im sure the doctors here are skilled and capable. However, there is a lack of compassion and general customer service. We were fostering a rescue dog with severe separation anxiety and it was a hassle to get medication. It was almost double the price they said it would be. We then got him neutered, during which time they gave him a shot which needs a booster two weeks later. This was to be finished at his follow up to remove his stitches. The day of the appointment, they told us that they figured out he didnt even have stitches, and that we now had to pay another $40 office visit fee for the second shot. After our neuter cost over $400. Needless to say, he received his booster shot somewhere else. Disappointing.

This place is great! I moved to the area and tried another vet and wasnt happy. If you go to ANY other vet in the area, I urge you give him a try. So glad I came here. Dr. Guzy really cares about animals. I feel like his exams and treatment plans are always spot-on with the well-being of my dogs the top priority. I will be bringing my one basset for a teeth cleaning and his price is half of what other vets have quoted. Half! The vet assistant said its because he really want to encourage people to take care of their pets, and not let expense be the reason they dont. Imagine that. Even though he says the only dogs that dont like him are rescues who have had a bad experience with men, MY rescue, who doesnt like most men, calms down as soon as sees the doctor. The rest of the staff are pretty wonderful too.

Dr. Guzy is the best vet I have ever had - and Ive been a pet owner for 49 years. Not only an amazing doctor, but a beautiful person as well; very honest and intelligent, down to earth and discerning and trustworthy. I was seeing him at Milford animal hospital and when he left, they wouldnt tell me where he was. I did several internet searches to find him with no luck until now. I am so excited that he opened a practice in Newtown. I used to travel all the way to Milford to see him and now hes only a town away! I have always highly recommend him to my family and friends, and am recommending him here as well. Karen Cheney

I have been to plenty of Vets, but since going to Berkshire i will never go anywhere else! The prices are the lowest i have found in the area, the staff is so friendly and helpful. Dr Guzy is great, and seems to know everything there is to know about my pups. i had an emergency one evening the office was closing, but they sat there and waited for me to come in so i didnt have to got to the Newton Hospital and pay an arm and a leg. You will not find a better VET office.

I have been using Dr. Guzy (the New owner) for years when he was at the Animal Clinic of Milford. When he left in July 2014, I tried the new vet there but I found much more peace of mind driving over 40 minutes with my dogs and ALL my rescues. I have so many rescues that I am a regular visitor. I go at least once a week. Dr. Guzys staff is awesome. And I cannot say enough wonderful things about this practice.

After taking my cat to several vets, Berkshire Vet found the issue, explained it to me in a way I could understand and sent me home the same day with medication that is working! The new owners are great people and the staff is excellent. They even called me a few days later to check on my cat Spencer. Wow. I will only recommend them from now on.

I would travel any distance to have my cats cared for by Dr Guzy. I find him to be compassionate and extremely knowledgeable regarding cats. He explains things thoroughly so that I understand and never pushes unnecessary tests on me. We are very fortunate to have such a caring man in our community to care for our furry family members.
