We used HAH since the 1980s, the employees knew our dog by name and were helpful. I would like to mention that we lived in Norwalk and yes we drove up to Fairfiled for our cocker spaniel to be groomed and seen when ill. They were always attentive and friendly. Recently I rescued a pit bull and they didnt hesitate to see him ASAP and schedule an appointment for him to get fixed. It was a matter of maybe three days total, they kept him over night and Samson couldnt be any happier. Also, when you have a pet you know that there is going to be a cost associated with their care i.e. grooming, vaccines etc. Which for the most part I do handle his grooming needs, but surgeries and vaccines are a necessary part of maintaining a happy and healthy pet. They are reasonable and I would highly recommend them.

they always seem to find a way to boost their prices. A friend of mine had a cat that has been going there for over 6 years had diabetes and when she had an emergency they were very rude, she has been going there for over 20 years with her other animals, after bringing her cat to another hospital they were amazed at the amount of insulin he was on and that they would not see the cat with out cash payment first after year of patronage and numerous references. They do not care about the animals all they care about is the money.

This place is a total Rip Off. Stay away or ask for specific pricing up front before you leave your pet there. My wife took our dog there to be groomed and they told her the dog needed to "update a couple of vaccines." When I picked our dog up, they hit me with a bill for $261. Yes, $261, for grooming and "a couple of vaccines." When I protested, they informed me that my wife "did not ask" what the vaccine fee would be, and they did not volunteer it. Beware, Highway Animal Hospital will gouge you.

Worst vet ever! They almost killed my mother in laws cat during a routine tooth cleaning and now charged my mother over $400 for xray and bloodwork and gave them no results but said with an ultrasound for $500 they might be able to figure out whats going on! My mother in laws cat still needs treatments which they are not paying for and may have life long issues bc of them! Do not go there! The old owners were great ...new owners not so much.

10 day board goes HORRIBLY left stitches in dogs ear and lied about their removal, I called the day of their removal and was told everything went fine and he looks good. I had to remove them myself a week late when he came home. They called it "miscommunication" because they didnt see the inch long incision on the side of his ear in the 10 days he was in their care, I call it paying them 350 to ABUSE my animal.

I have tried just about every Veterinarian in Fairfield & Westport. This is the only one thats hasnt lied to me regarding my pet. All others say my Lab has Lyme disease and cancer. When in reality she had neither. They have saved me thousands of dollars. I recommend them highly.

Nicest ones in town. I had rescued at cat who was sick with a respiratory infection and living under a stairwell. 2 vet offices blew me off but this one opened their arms to it and got it better. They are fantastic and reasonably priced.

This is our primary animal care - weve been there several times over the past 2 years and theyve been nothing but excellent. We have 2 large (25lb+) cats that can be difficult and theyve always handled them well. Happily recommend this.
