Terrible experience!!!!! I chose Dr. Kowarski because he was close to my home, accepted my insurance, and (being a Physical Therapist as well as chiropractor) APPEARED to know what he was doing. Boy, was I wrong. I was hoping to find some relief from ongoing back problems, and sought out a good chiropractor to help me recondition my body. Despite the fact that Ive already had surgery, and should NOT have been maniputlated at that level, Dr. Kowarski immediately launched into making MAJOR adjustments without so much as taking my history or listening to my concerns. He came across as very likeable, and I made the mistake of assuming that (being a trained "expert") hed know not to push too far too fast. Big mistake, as he did a side-lying rotational torque....the worst thing you can do for a disc patient. Even more apalling was the fact that he continued to force his way through the adjustment even though I let him know it was significantly painful (he brushed me off with a laugh). After this first appointment, Dr. Kowarski invited me back for a evening educational session that was supposed to help me change my entire life around. I didnt put much stock in the claim, but was open minded enough to show up for the hour. Got off to a good start, with some decent (albeit, common sense) information, but by the end it turned into nothing more than a sales pitch. He even went to far as to hand out cards to the folks whod come, nearly begging them to pass them out and bring in friends/family. It was a pretty sad demonstration. Despite my better judgement, I gave him a couple more opportunities, showing up for an additional 3 appointments. Things got no better, as he was chronically late for appointments and never bother to really assess if the treatments were effective. Unfortunately, no only were they not, but I immediately began to deteriorate....to the point that now (8 months later) Im having problems just sitting (something never present previously). Dr. Kowarski did call several weeks after I stopped going, but it seemed to me more a function of wanting the income from his fees rather than altruism. Ironically, in speaking with one of my neighbors this evening, when I mentioned his name she related that shed gone to him as well, for 9-10 months. She experienced some of the same nagging concerns and problems related to her treatment sessions with him. Only wish Id have found this out BEFORE I wasted my time. My recommendation is, dont waste yours as well...

For the last 3 years I had been dealing with a aching pain in my left hip. I thought it would go away eventually. I saw 3 different orthopedic surgeons who talked about surgery, and a couple of physical therapists. The pain continued. I was given cortizone shots, therapy treatment, drugs. Nothing helped. I was in constant pain and unable to sleep or walk. A friend of mine told me about Dr. K and how he had helped her. I made an appointment. After the first visit my walking improved. Dr. K prescribed different types of exercises that could help me. I visited his office for a few months, learning various exercises and therapy. It was well worth taking the time to keep my appointments with him because I started noticing the difference and the pain was going away. Because of the special attention Dr. K gave to my specific condition, I no longer have the excrutiating pain I had. Dr. K treated me without drugs. He taught me exercises and provided therapy treatments that would help my body heal itself. Thanks to Dr. K, Im doing remarkably well. Prior to visiting Dr. K, I thought Id never be able to hike or walk long distances again. I can now do all the activities I could do prior to the condition. Dr. K cares so much about helping me improve the quality of my life. He is the best doctor Ive ever had. Through the treatment, I have learned so much about my body and how to improve the quality of my life. I cant say enough about how Dr. K has helped me. I can say that I no longer have the pain; the therapy he prescribed has tremendously improved my life. I have my independence back and a great level of energy. Dr. K you are heaven sent!! Thank you for all you have done to make me well again!

"When I came to Dr. Kowarski, I had some back pain from years of sports and working in the fitness industry on my feet. I also had a nagging, three year- old shoulder injury that I was too stubborn to take care of. Being a personal trainer in the health and fitness industry, my expectations were high. From the very beginning, I was impressed. My first visit was for X-Rays. Most doctors’ offices you wait days for an X-Ray review and then several days to see the doctor. I did that all in ONE day. After working on my back for several weeks, Dr. K did some more intensive work on my shoulder. After several weeks, he was able to get it back to the way it was before I was injured...I NEVER thought that was possible. I competed in my 6th triathlon in September of 2012 (My first one with a healthy shoulder), and I hit a personal record for completing it in the fastest that I have ever done. Good training - yes, but amazing chiropractic care was the reason I could train so hard. I really get the sense that Dr. K cares about his patients; his staff is the same way. They remember what I did last weekend, my boyfriend’s name…everything. Their attention to detail is incredible. It’s not just a quick adjustment and you are on your way. They pay attention to every aspect of your health by involving therapy treatments as well as corrective exercises. Even though I’ve been there for almost a year, I still receive the same care, time, and attention that I did on day one. Anyone that is skeptical of chiropractic care or thinks they don’t need it – I challenge you to visit Dr. K’s office. It will change your mind and your life." _Carol G.

I first came here looking for physical therapy for my shoulder, but I ended up getting a lot more help than I expected. They had to take some x-rays of my spine and they noticed some lower back damage and a little bit my neck. About a week after I started going there three times a week and getting adjustments I didnt realize how much pain I was in and just dealing with it. Dr. Ben has great bedside manner, which is great he makes you feel comfortable because hes basically going to twist you up into a pretzel and jump on you to release the tension in your back. It sounds weird but feels great. Ive been going for a month now and have seen a bunch of differences I no longer have headaches I dont have back pain at all anymore Im overall a lot happier because I dont have pain anymore. Pain I didnt even realize I had. For the physical therapy you really have to keep doing it they show you how to do it but you have to do it every day and it takes a commitment but if you do it you will get better fast. Paulina and Jordan The physical therapists are Great to work with. Paulina always takes her time making sure that my position is good for the moves and if I cant do it there are other things that she could help me with or move down the difficulty with different exercises. Overall of had a terrific experience ever someone who had a sports injury like me, they really help me get back to where I was as fast as they could. Im going to continually see them, because of my back issues, because I dont want to relapse and I know they will keep me continuously in good shape.
