Ive been to a number of different chiropractors throughout the midatlantic but Dr. Golinskys office is my favorite. Granted, theyre a a little different than most, but anytime Ive been in pain they go out of their way to get me in as soon as they can and work to make me feel better. They are incredibly skilled at what they do. They are also very cognizant that we all have lives that sometimes get in the way of things but mostly everything they do is just to make me feel better and less stressed. When I see them regularly my migraines stay away, my lower back pain is non-existent and my tendinitis that makes my typing nearly impossible doesnt bother me. And when I fall off the wagon (not coming in for my monthly maintenance adjustment) because I get busy or whatever I know theyll just be happy to see me come back. As far as adjustments most have their regular doctor. I see both Dr. Golinsky and Dr. Kyle and they also have a female Dr. (who I have seen a few times, but not enough to remember her name!) and she is also good and a whiz at the drop table. As with all chiropractors each has their own style. They are all look to adjust the full body and are amazing at recalling what was ailing you last, how you are doing since then and offering advice. They even remember all their patients names without a chart! They do have their regular set of adjustments they perform which I personally couldnt do without and regret when I stop going and my migraines come back, but they also do additional and tailor treatment of course based on the individual and ailment. I always like to say what is bothering me that day since, regardless of whatever I may have come in for in the beginning they will take into account whatever is most bothering me that day as well. (Like that time I overdid it at the concert and my knees were bugging me in addition to my back. Thank goodness for Dr. Kyles magic hands!) What is nice is that when I do stop going (because Im horrible at keeping up with anything regularly even if it is just monthly make sure you keep in alignment checks which I know from years of personal experience I need) I dont get chastised. Instead, I get welcomed back and asked how Ive been, so I never feel guilty about being away. I wasnt the biggest fan of the office staff when I started. They were kinda harsh and abrasive and seemed really impatient. Having gone there for awhile now though, Ive come to realize they are actually very helpful and understanding and great for a chat. I think it was just initial impressions that were off. The staff has really have come through for me on multiple occasions when I needed help with messed up scheduling, work meetings that went long and insurance billing issues. Overall I am very thankful that I found Dr. Golinsky and his practice and to be one of his patients.

After over twenty-five years of heavy weight training I’ve recently begun to have problems with my low back. I went to bed one night feeling fine only to wake with terrible sciatic pain radiating down my left leg. The pain was so bad that I was unable to stand for more than a few minutes at a time. I also couldn’t sleep more than a couple of hours a night. While waiting to get in to see one of the better spinal surgeons in the area (the good ones are always backed up) I went to Golinsky Chiropractic. I have a history with this practice as Phil had treated me for a structural spinal issue in the past. I’ve spent a lot of time with physical therapists and chiropractors over the years so it doesn’t take me long to sort out the good from the bad. Phil is defiantly one of the good ones so I figured maybe he could help. Phil and his staff took the time to asses my condition and used a well-reasoned approach of decompression, spinal manipulation and soft tissue work to help ease my pain. This treatment worked well enough that I was already getting better by the time I got in for my first appointment with the surgeon. During the surgeon’s assessment I had such weakness on my left side that I could not walk on my heel or even resist a light pull on my foot. This doctor was convinced I would need surgery but said he wanted to see how I progressed over time since I mentioned I was getting better. I continued to work with Phil and his staff showing slow improvement over time. As the weeks passed Phil and his staff continued to reevaluate my condition and alter their treatment as my condition changed. My mobility and strength returned and I began to be able to walk and sleep without pain. It took five months but today I had my final surgical evaluation and was told I was no longer a candidate for surgery. The surgeon told me that when he first saw me he was certain I was going to need an operation. Instead, today I was told that I was one of the lucky ones. What this doctor didn’t see was all of the work that went into being lucky. I believe that no small part of my luck was due to Phil and his staff. I did quite a bit of work on my own with exercise and stretching but don’t think I would have gotten anywhere near as far as I did had I not worked with Golinsky Chiropractic. Unlike most of the doctors I saw during this time, Phil was always willing to see me, even at the last minute. Each time I left the office I felt a little better than when I went in. This is the reason I’m writing this review. I truly believe I owe a great majority of my current mobility, strength and the return of my lifestyle to Phil and his staff. Thank you.

Ive moved to Virginia and went looking for a good chiropractor. Golinsky had a lot of reviews and most were positive so I went in for lower back, neck and knee pain. Dr. Golinsky fixed up my back but forgot to adjust my neck until I reminded him that was one of the reasons I came in. He adjusted it and relieved the pain. There are a few reasons I gave only one star. First (minus one star), the receptionist was getting a massage and I had to wait about 10 minutes until they noticed I was there, on time, for my appointment (I wasnt aware she was the receptionist as it was my first visit or Id have spoken up). Second (minus another star) is when I called about pricing (my insurance doesnt cover chiropractors) the receptionist told me $50 for cash payment $65 for credit card payment. After I was done Dr. Golinsky said he was going to give me a special price. He proceeded to show me a piece of paper which quoted $100 per visit fee. Then he said, "For you, $50 cash, $65 credit card." As you can see this isnt a special price (it is their normal billing rate) and was a deceptive attempt to get me to return by trying to make me think I was getting a deal. The price was fine but the deceptive tactics docked one star from this review. Last and biggest reason (minus two stars) was Dr. Golinsky didnt even examine me. I came in for three different areas and he was able to treat two (he doesnt have the qualifications to treat extremities, i.e. any joints on the arms and legs). But he didnt look at the other areas he is qualified to treat. Just a one and done attitude. There was no therapy or stretches to help relieve the pain as Ive had from all other chiropractors Ive been to. All other chiropractors Ive been to examine my entire skeletal system and adjust accordingly which is then followed by stretches and some quick massage therapy to help relieve muscle spasms caused by a misaligned skeletal system. None of this happened. Im not going again for sure because he cant work on my knee but even if he could I wouldnt go again because of my experience.
