I wanted to share my experience with Family Vision Care, being someone who is adamant against change I was resilient to try a new eye doctor a friend of mine recommended me too. At first glance I was hesitant, pulling into a parking lot with multiple business in sight I had no idea what to expect. Let me tell you as soon as I opened the door and me eyes wandered the doctors office every thing change. Well lit, excellent design, beautifully arranged, clean, kids were in the kids room playing, your front desk receptionists were making sure everything was taking care of, including turning on the tv and making sure everything was in order to keep the younglings entertained. I walked up to the front desk to be greeted by three beautiful young ladies eager to make sure everything is taken care. With a smile on their face I checked in, and they informed me on the paperwork that needed to be filled out and told me if I had any questions please dont hesitate to ask. One of the receptionists by the name of Kim went out of her way to grind, make, and pour me a cup of, might I say, excellently brewed coffee. While I was sitting filling out paperwork the coffee was brought to me with a smile on her face. Already impressed at this point. I filled in my paperwork and handed it to the receptionist, two min later I was greeted by the doctors assistant. Elvia, was more than kind, giving exemplary service as we went from machine to machine to gather information about my eyes. After being seated to meet Dr. Ricks, he walked in a minute later. Again, excellent communication, he was clear, enjoyable, easy to talk to, and delivered a perfect experience. Explained everything as we went through the process, made it relaxing, and with zero anxiety or stress involved. As we finished up he shook my hand and thanked me for my time as he eagerly moved on to his next patient with a smile on his face. Kudos, Dr. Ricks, kudos. As the assistant led me back to the waiting room I was met by a well dressed man, the optician, who goes by the name Bert. He introduced himself, and asked me how my morning was going in Spanish, which might I say I enjoyed very much, we threw a couple sentences back and forth in Spanish, which might I also add was good for me being I dont use my Spanish nearly as much as I should. Bert was extremely clear, and offered a fantastic experience, he explained my options, showed me numbers clearly, and informed me on how my insurance works. Being in sales, and customer service myself, Bert took me as a man who knows, and accomplishes his job giving more than the par! If he does not get paid on commission, than Bert deserves a raise! As I fished up with Bert he guided me back to the front desk, and I was checked out. All said and done, I could not have asked for a more pleasurable experience. As a team they work well together, and make the atmosphere comfortable. I will continue to enjoy Family Vision Care, and will be thrilled to come back for my next apt. If anyone is looking for a place to settle down and get your eyes checked with an out of this world experience every time. This my friends, is the place. I recommend anyone who needs an eye doctor to take the time to give Family Vision care the opportunity to secure your business with excellent service. Thank you for your time!

Comfortable, professional, established. They have the equipment and expertise to perform and interpret more comprehensive eye exams than most places, and the patience and flexibility to meet my unique needs. :-) I feel respected and listened to at this place. Dr. Copeland also tests, more than other eye doctors, for how well your eyes work together and do complicated tasks (like how you have to see to drive well)--not just the letter charts and typical screening tests--if he thinks you might have trouble in those areas. Kind of like being tested for actual reading comprehension of a paragraph vs. being tested for just being able to recognize the alphabet and sound out individual words. (There are exercises you can do to teach your eyes to work better together and in complicated ways, if they dont.) Very cool.

knowing I have glaucoma I see dr ricks and his team a lot..my last trip the tech who was testing me found something else and on her own had the extra pics and things she knew the dr would want to see.. I like knowing that the whole office has my back not just going thru the motions that the dr tells them to do.. I have yet to meet a person there that has not had a smile for me and my best interest at heart.. been to a lot of eye drs in my time but this is the first time I feel like im in the right place.. "thank you guys, for the eyes"

Always the best appointment of the year. No waiting. KATRINA is a super efficient tech. Dr. COPELAND provided a thourogh exam with clear explanation of issues with my eyes. BERT ordered my new lenses, making sure I was aware of all the options. And again I always run into someone I know in the beautifully appointed waiting room, while enjoying a freshly brewed Americano as I waited for my Mom to finish her appointment. Is it appropriate for the Doctors Mom and Grandma to give 5 stars? We think so!

I have been a member of family vision since it was started. I have never had more professional, pleasant, caring people in the medical field. I cant recommend them enough. If you want a stress-free encounter with delightful and caring folk, you have come to the right place. Post script to my last visit. I had a sharp abrasive material into my eye while mowing. Called Family Vision and was in their office and treated within an hour. Talk about relief. They are best thing going

Being visual artist for 20+ years, I just recently started to care more about the most valuable "tool" of my trade... Couldnt be more happier with FVC service and expertise, here in Yakima - I was surprised how Dr. Copeland went "an extra mile" in making sure that even any possible future degradation of my vision is properly monitored . Equipment there is state of the art, and we really liked the new office space they recently upgraded to .

The staff was very informative, friendly and helpful! The doctor was professional and I felt that he spent extra time looking at my eyes, compared to past doctors at other offices. He took the time to explain things to me that I had not known about my sight, and the different testing machinery that they used on me helped me to feel that they were collecting accurate and the appropriate amount of data about my vision.

Dr. Copeland was an exceptional student at Davis High School, so I knew that he would have brought that same level of dedication to his studies to learn about vision care. I was not disappointed when I came to Family Vision Care a few weeks ago. He is, as I expected, exceptionally thorough and dedicated. Thank you, Seth Copeland, for quality vision care--and for returning to Yakima! Mrs. Lynne Greene

I went to the previous Optician, when I was 18, who ended his practice and sold to these new dr.s. They have been great, they care about your eyes and health, they are very soft spoken and are very knowledgeable in their field, which makes feel that I am in the right hands. I now have had Dr. Ricks for several years now and feel total confidence he will take care of my eyes as well as my last optician.
