No one is perfect; we all make mistakes. Dr. Nasr made an egregious mistake that caused my sisters cat her life. We had been going to Dr. Nasr for years, and I loved her. She has a bunch of gigantic healthy cats and is an obvious animal lover. She cared for several of our cats and our two pit bulls, one of which frequently tried to dominate the other. On one occasion the dominant dog attacked the other for a bone and ripped her carotid artery. I didnt think my dog would live. It was in the middle of the night and I called Dr Nasr. She got out of her bed and told me to bring the dog. She did emergency surgery and saved the dogs life. I loved this woman. To me she was a godsend as far as veterinarians go, but when my sister took her cat there for a routine surgery to be spayed, she failed us terribly. My sister called to make an appointment and was told none was needed, just bring the cat in - she gave her no instructions, which was her first error. On the morning of the surgery, Dr. Nasr did no intake interview, which proved to be disastrous. Not knowing any better, and not being instructed otherwise, my sister fed the cat in the morning - she died after surgery of asphyxiation. As if that werent bad enough, when my grieving, weeping sister went to get her cats remains, Dr. Nasr defiantly told her that she was to blame because she shouldnt have fed the cat. How can a caregiver be so callous as to try to put a guilt trip on a grieving client after their loss. She was obviously more concerned about liability than she was about compassionate patient care. But a more perplexing question is this: How does a doctor not do a pre-op screening? Im no doctor, but when a life hangs in the balance, I would think that a professional should never assume that a layman knows anything. I couldnt give her a zero rating because, truthfully, prior to that incident, I thought she was the best vet ever, and recommended her to all the pet owners I knew.

The five star reviews I swear must have been accounts made purposely by the staff. The reviewers who gave one star are real people who experienced the horror of this place. My friend was going to humanely put down her 18 year old cat who had several complications over the years that she could no longer afford. She was nothing but rude and judgmental throughout the whole process. My friend asked if her cat would feel any pain after the injection and the vet coldly replied " I dont know Ive never taken it." Then proceeded to prepare the needle and instruct her to hold the cat still which didnt go smoothly. The vet frustratingly said "I cant do this without anesthesia" and something along the lines that she wouldnt continue until she agreed to pay extra for the sedatives. Once that was settled she took the syringes from the cabinet and told us to carry the cat to another room in the back which was exactly the same. The only purpose for the whole move was that she wanted to shave the cats paw with a hair clipper that was battery operated. I could barely hold in my anger, her cat was in terrible pain and fear as it was. She could have just brought the clipper in to the first room! The cat was wincing horribly while she was trying to inject the sedatives and would scream at my friend to restrain her. I noticed the needle was obviously bent from all the scuffle but the vet was still going to use it which was when I had to call it. I respectfully apologized to her and said we would no longer go through with the procedure. She still had the audacity to say at one point "I cant believe people could neglect an animal like this." While we were walking out she even ripped the long application my friend had filled out in front of us and in the presence of another person in the waiting room. Please heed the other warnings of the one star reviewers. This place is horrible.

My dog had a horrible ear infection of ear mites, mind you my dog is huge and can be a bit hyper so its kind of hard to control him. I took him to the vet and she was very unprofessional, she did not explain things clear I had to repeatedly ask her specific things like "how many times a day to apply the cream?" for example and she would respond with an annoyed attitude. She said it was my fault my dog had an infection and i made it even worst by giving him over the counter ear mite medicine for dogs. Listen if that happened to make my dog worst, she did not need to give me attitude i think anyone in my condition wouldve tried it ( at the time, i didnt have enough money to visit the vet) so i payed 40 dollars for a full exam which she didnt even do but claims she did, and 300 on medicine to take home for him. i had taken my first dog there years ago and swore to never take another pet of mine there, i had to this time because she is closest to me and my dog is very hyper and hard to travel with at times. my first dog ended up having cancer and she had to put her to sleep, she was very cold about the whole situation. I HAD TO PUT MY DOGS BODY IN A BAG ON MY OWN at the end. ugh never going back there.
