We feel extremely grateful to have found this Veterinary Hospital and in particular the wonderful Dr. Howard Schatz who has treated our dogs and us with such love, compassion and expertise every time we see him! We feel very fortunate and blessed to have found such a wonderful Veterinarian and human being as Dr. Schatz! He is warm, kind, personable and caring and always goes above and beyond in doing everything he can to address any of our animals needs! He always takes the time to talk to us and to walk us through our every concern and procedure no matter how busy he is. He consistently does all he can to provide the highest level of care for our dogs assuring us that he always has their well being forefront in every medical decision he makes. With him we know our dogs are in the best of care, as he does everything possible to keep us informed and updated on the newest advances in treatment and medicine allowing us to make informed decisions. He always comes from a place of genuine caring, never allowing his status as a Doctor to get in the way of his ability to empathize, or show great compassion and understanding for our concerns.We know whenever there is an issue he will handle it with great care and professionalism and as a result we are always confident our pets are in the very best of hands! in the many years our dogs have seen Dr. Schatz he has become more than just our dogs entrusted Doctor, he is like family to us and we could not imagine anyone else treating our pets! The staff here are all caring, responsive and professional as well. In short anyone wanting a fantastic, highly skilled, personable and kind Doctor cannot do better in our opinion than Dr. Howard Schatz! We recommend him wholeheartedly knowing your pet will be in the best of care!

I cant say enough good things about this place. Ive been taking my boxer to Dr. Schatz for the last several years and he is nothing short of amazing. Besides being kind and friendly all the time, he is extremely knowledgeable and always takes the time to explain things to me. He explains each issue my dog has in laymens terms and even writes notes for me to take so that I understand what it is that hes explaining to me and I could research it more if Id like to. Hes done surgery on my dog, sonograms, prescribed medications that actually worked and has always been reachable with questions I constantly have. I can actually get him on the phone to talk and he also answers emails immediately. (How many other vets do that??) A few times when he wasnt in, Ive also taken my dog to Dr. Fish and and Dr. Pacchiano there and they were both also great. The girls at the front are always pleasant as well and its just such a warm feeling when you walk in there. Kim has always been great too and such a pleasure to talk to, in addition to the other girls there. The prices are fair and you dont feel overcharged as you normally do when you go to other vets. I wouldt take my dog anywhere else! She loves it there too and actually gets so excited to see everyone there. Never an ounce of fear or discomfort! I sent my good friend there w/her 2 dogs also and she feels the same way. Thanks Massapequa Animal Hospital for all that you do!

Weve been taking our dog to see Dr. Crockett since 2009 and weve been so impressed by the excellent care hes received! Dr. Crockett is very thorough and knowledgeable. Im confident in her ability to care for our dog and trust her recommendations. For example, she heard a slight murmur on a pre-op exam (he was going to have some teeth extracted under sedation) and explained to us it may just be age related but was worth further evaluation before his procedure. Further testing confirmed Dr. Crocketts assessment, we were re-assured that the problem was benign, and Dr. Crockett was able to perform the procedure safely. I appreciated Dr. Crocketts effort in coordinating with the specialist so that he could have his cardiac testing on the same day as his procedure - it saved us time by not having to bring him to the office for multiple visits. The entire staff has always treated us and our Go-Go so well- very helpful and accommodating. Weve not only taken Go-Go in for care but also boarded him with MAH on multiple occasions and whenever we pick him up - he always seems happier and younger-- I think it might be because he gets more attention while hes there than he does at home! Have been using them for almost 4 years with our German Shephard. Unfortunetly for us our dog has some serious gentic problems. Fortunetly for us the group here was able to isolate and find the problem quickley and effectively getting him on medication and bringing him back to as close to normal as possible. Personally we have delt with every single vet in the practice, and have to say that they are all professional and take care to make sure that you arent rushed out and all concerns are addressed. They have spent time on the phone helping, emails to answer questions, and if they dont have the answer they have called specialists and gotten the answer for us. We also use them for boarding when we go away. They take great care of the dogs and are very reasonably priced. I have and will continue to reccomend them to friends and family, and will continue to use them for our dog and any future animals we have.

MAH took my call (totally new patient) and got me an appointment same day to help with a surgical wound that opened (they did not do the original surgery/spay) I explained I had recently moved to the area and needed a vet close by my home, that I was not able to reach the clinic that performed the spay on my kitten, and that I was worried about how her wound looked. The staff was very understanding and compassionate about my concern and managed to fit me in that same day - the vet on duty examines my little one and found she had opened her wound and had a small infection- they drained the wound dressed it and got us the necessary Meds to get my kitty feeling better - I could not be happier with the service provided and the compassionate understanding of the staff - thanks for everything!!

I love Massapequa animal Hospital. My cat lost his hind leg to cancer Dr. Crockett did an amazing job in his surgery and she is also very knowledgable and informative as well as thorough and conservative in her treatment. Dr. Bazaan was wonderful in assisting in his after care and follow up when DR.crocket wasnt available. Everyone I hafe dealt with has been awesome. The entire staff was and is wonderful in how they love and care for my fur babies as if they are their own. I have seen them on Several occasions for several different cats and various health issued and I have had a stellar experience everytime. They are sensitive to your financial needs and are conservative in their treatment they allow you options. They work with you. I highly reccomend them.

It would be very hard to find a Veterinarian with more experience, knowledge or compassion than Dr Schatz. He is truly an animal healer. I thought my dog was near his end (at 14 1/2). He had a lot of cysts that obviously were impairing his life. Dr Schatz operated on him 10days ago and today he is almost as he was when he was a pup....running, energetic, great appetite....I live in Bohemia and have to pass many places to get to Dr Schatz...His expertise is truly worth the trip. The staff is also very caring and helpful. Thank you Dr Schatz!!
