my doctor moved to upstate ny so I went to Dr. Park for the 1st time.. 30min ~ 1Hr wait..something i expected @ drs office...she was very cold .. very straight forward, not interested in other health related issue beside why i was there for .. i had to get a procedure done, even tho i wasnt happy with her i just wanted to get over with it.. so i decided to get it done. shes with out pt procedure center who takes only one type of insurance... so i had to pay $350 out of my pocket.. CASH only for the procedure center.. in my mind.. i wont be going back to her so.. oh well... after the procedure.. i bled for 3 +wks... i went for 2 wks f/u told her ive been bleeding.. after the exam.. simply told me " nothing to do with procedure just wait and see .. otherwise i can prescribe you a pill that will work as d&c (im guessing Misoprostol)" she didnt mention nothing like "if it doesnt stop come back we do more study.. or lets do sonogram or blood work" she just ignored... so i went back to my old doctor drove almost an hr because i was bleeding 3+ wks... at 1st she was surprised that the procedure was done under anesthesia.. and she explained to me in detail.. possible cause of bleeding .. did ultrasound on the same day.. she reviewed my blood work... prescribed me with progesterone .. telling me this should stop me from bleeding in few days.. if not then come back ... but it stopped.. all i needed was some progesterone for hormonal imbalance NOT Misoprostol (D&C pill). will never go back to her.

In short, the most unprofessional office visit Ive ever experienced. They had a problem receiving payment from my insurance company. (A platinum plan that covered the services 100%) When I arrived for a scheduled appointment that I drove 1 hour to get to with my infant in tow, I was told (after waiting in the waiting room for 45 minutes) that the doctor wouldnt see me because of the outstanding balance that hadnt been paid by my insurance company. She also refused to see me to discuss the issue. I had to literally insist multiple times on seeing her and explained that it had been impossible for me to resolve the issue with her billing person due to the language barrier. Had their biller been able to speak proper English, the issue would have been resolved and they would have been paid months ago. With a simple phone call, I handled the issue with the insurance company and they received their payment. I hope that the measly $500 dollars they got was worth the loss of a 14+ year patient. I became a patient back when the practice still belonged to Dr. Chang Park (a class act and a fantastic doctor) . My, what a turn the practice has taken under Dr. Helen Park. The practice caters to a Korean patient base. If you dont speak Korean, expect to be treated like a 2nd class citizen, the way I was. Unfortunately, I wont be returning. What a poor way to handle a simple issue.

I agree wholeheartedly with the previous review. What a nightmare of an appt. This was one of my worst obgyn visits of my life. Dr. Park has zero bedside manner. Not only was she unwilling to listen to me, a patient who was nervous about potential issues, she was extremely condescending, kept interrupting when I tried to answer her own questions, performed the exam so painfully, and when I had pain, she screamed at me "Get a Hold of yourself". Literally screamed. I left the room in tears. Then had to wait two whole weeks for blood work results (that usually takes 2-3 days everywhere else. When I finally received a call after 14 days and after I called them to remind them, the doctor seemed very impatient and extremely rude. When I asked questions about what she said, she was once again very annoyed that I was even taking her time and condescending. Never ever going there again.

Hellish experience with our Flushing and Great Neck OBGYN for our first child. Dr Helen Park is our third and final gyno within two pregnancies. Our birth of the second child was so much easier and we were both so relieved our son was born in good hands (Yay April of 2017!). She visits even after your childs birth! We recommend her to everyone everywhere we go. With a little bit of luck and Gods grace, if I make it to the force soon or my new business picks up, well definitely return to Helen when we decide to have our third child. We found her through Facebook forum (parenthood) as everyone there recommends her. Those who dont have patience, look elsewhere. Helen warned us beforehand that she has a busy schedule and that she delivers A LOT of babies which was already stated during our first visit. This only insured us that she takes her job seriously and passionately.

Made an appointment at 1pm. Got to see the doctor after 4pm. Most unpleasant experience ever. Wasted my off day on a gorgeous weather waiting to be seen by the doctor. And the receptionist lady was very impolite and rude. Made me more upset. Never ever coming back here!
