I dont know where to start, awful experience across the board. A rushed filling which was so painful in a month. Despite many many pleading calls, it took another 2 months to get an appointment (in the meantime I had tried 3 other dentists in NYC & 1 in Jersey City and none of them would touch it and told me to go back to where I got it done); by which time they told me it was so infected I needed a root canal. That took 3 visits, dont know why they didnt just give me the antibiotics the first time, if it was so infected. Each visit consisted of an extensive wait (over an hour). Everything has been an issue. Even ordering the antibiotics. Supposedly ordered at the start of my appointment to the local pharmacy. After an hour, went down there to pick up the prescription, theres nothing been ordered. Go back to the office, they took some time to find out what happened and push the order. Back to the pharmacy and theyd closed for the night. They close too early for me to get there after work so had to wait a couple of days to go on the weekend. I have nothing good to say about my experience and Ive been here half a dozen times for the same problem with the same tooth. Terrible.

I have gone to this office a few times and really do not recommend you going. I thought maybe I would give them the benefit of the doubt and go 2 more times. They do a good job of cleaning but try to hustle you for money every time you go. If you dont have a cavity they will tell you you need a "deep clean" which you insurance will not cover. If they cant sell you that the they will tell you you need a Sonicare toothbrush that is $150. My wife goes and got the same experience. Also there is a long wait every time I go 1 to 2 hours plus. The people that work in reception and billing also will tell you how much they hate it and how bad they are treated as employees. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Please find a professional dentist!!!!! Save yourself!!!

Had a terrible experience here during my lunch break. Found them on ZocDoc - my appointment was for 12:30 - they asked me if I was sure my appointment was today. I was, I had the confirmation in my hand. I noticed they asked everyone the same question - clearly their backend system is a failure. The staff was great - aside from the dentist. I finally saw the dentist at 1:17 - what upset me most was the nasty attitude I received from him when I said I needed to leave to get back to work while he was FINALLY checking my teeth. He claimed he could not work like this and threw his hands in the air! I wasnt late - it was YOUR office that messed up. Also - its probably worth mentioning the lack of privacy. Hands down the worst dentist experience I have had in NYC.

I decided to go here because they did a presentation at my companys healthcare fair and because they are closer to my home. It was easy to get a Saturday appointment so as not to miss work. The first time I went was fine. The second time I went I had new people and they tried to tell me I had a cavity and needed work. I found that unusual because I have good teeth and have not had problems in years. I went back to my former dentist just to check. He did a thorough cleaning and checkup and told me my teeth were fine. It left me wondering if they were just trying to make more money. I will never go back. Id be afraid they would do all this unnecessary dental work. I do NOT recommend this place.

I came to this office back in April of 2011 and the moment I meet the staff I knew I found my family dentist. I felt so welcome and comfortable. At Preferred dental care I was able to save my tooth, I had a filling done on this tooth before and the tooth was givning me so much pain. I went in for an exam and they evaluated my complete mouth. They then said the tooth had some decay and needed to be crowned. I had the crown done with no pain and no hassel. Ever since I went in, I have referred all my friends and family. They are all so happy with the services provided at Preferred Dental Care.

They are friendly, personable and most importantly professional. Dr. Awad is a perfectionist and does not leave the job until it is done right! Even the assistants are meticulous about doing things to the best of their ability. One thing that also impressed me was that even though the other doctor wasnt working on me he introduced himself humbly and thanked me for coming. Its so hard to find a good dentist which is why im going out of my way to tell people they are the best!

I have been going to this dental practice for many years and have always had a good experience. Dr. Kamdar in particular has been wonderful, always professional, takes his time and explains everything. The office staff is also helpful and the wait time is minimal. I highly recommend

Overall, I had a very good experience. I was seen quickly (5 minutes after completing my paperwork), their staff was polite and friendly, and the service from the dental cleaner and doctor was excellent (informative, not rushed, genuinely interested in my dental health).

My kids go to Dr & Dr Schimmel (both father and son) and we have all occasionally had our teeth cleaned here as well. The staff are friendly, the location is super convenient, and the prices are more affordable than many other practices in NYC.
