I am on a mission starting today to let people know exactly how MISERABLE an experience I had with AV. I found the group because my crown had fallen out of place and had to be put back in. It came out again very soon after and once again my own dentist office was closed so went back to AV (who always seemed to be able to fit me in, at the same a seeming convenience but I should have questioned that). One of the most important things about what makes a dental practice great is its communication to its customers. I have been with the same dental practice in Bayonne for 6 years since I moved here and the dentist is always very clear about what needs to be done, the timeline, process and cost. THESE ARE ALL THE THINGS THAT AV IS HORRIBLE AT. THE EMOTIONAL DISTRESS I SUFFERED AS A RESULT CANNOT BE UNDERSTATED. The dentist suggested to me that I do an implant and explained briefly that I would come back when the surgeon was there and do the surgery - he made it seem like it was only one visit, that they would take out the root and put the implant in. No other scenarios. In short, no one ever said this is an 8-9 months process. I would have simply had a new crown put in at my regular dentist if i knew that was the case. No one ever said i would be toothless during that time and that the flipper would give me a lisp and that i couldnt smile comfortably again without it for 9 months. No one ever said i would be out almost $2000 and would be in the EXACT same place I started when 4 months ago - toothless. AV tells you "Call us if anything" - you do, they dont call back. I called once or twice before they called me back each visit. After the tooth was removed, the area above my gum started to get infected. My husband suggested shaking with salt water over the weekend before the office reopened on Monday. I was in pain all weekend and shaking with salt water every hour or so before I felt better. The surgeons visit the office, theyre not in place and there are different surgeons. That inconsistency and irregularity makes the service lacking and you feel it. Imagine my shock when the second surgeon tells me when i come in to put the implant in that the first surgeon did not "Clean the area well" so he had to redo it. WHAT?????? One of the ladies in the office told me over the phone that i was the one who said i did not want the implant in when i first removed the tooth. I actually said to her "dont tell lies now" I am so disappointed and anguished over this whole experience. I wont even finish the implant there - i am going to find someone else who can do this and have requested my records. Now I am on a mission to ensure everyone knows that if you want top quality service AV DENTAL IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO! I feel like they STOLE MY MONEY for the crappy service that i got. I deserve a refund for unfinished work and even the work that was done was done with poor form, lots of pain (I am off from work today as a result) and poor service. If I could give 0 stars i would.

I am very happy I chose this dental office. I am fairly new to the area and needed some work done (cleaning, filling and a crown). I was very happy with the convenient location, its fairly close to the Path train/bus terminal. The receptionist was very pleasant when calling initially to make the appointment, she answered my questions knowledgeably and was patient with me. I have visited twice. The cleaning is a separate appointment from initial exams/xrays. And I have one more visit for the filling and crown work. Everyone from office staff to hygienist to the dentist I saw (Dr. Zaffetti), all were very helpful and friendly. The office is nice and each individual room has cozy chairs to sit in while work is done and offers distraction for the nervous patient (like me!) by having a television in there with you. I highly recommend this dental practice!

As with many people, I dont usually look forward to dental appointments. But I have found AV Dental Associates to be a kind, personable and wonderful group of professionals. They put me to ease about my root canal and other procedures that needed to be performed. They made sure my insurance approved of my treatments - when my insurance denied to cover one procedure I needed, AV Dental Associates quickly resubmitted paperwork until I was able to get coverage. Other pluses at AV Dental Associates: I was able to listen to podcasts or watch a movie while having my procedures, people know me by name when I step through the door, and they are incredibly helpful and kind when you are worried and need to ask a million questions about your dental health or any procedure. I have never had better dental experiences. I highly recommend AV Dental Associates.

I love Dr. Vahid and his welcoming staff. They are amazing at what they do! The staff always ensures that I feel comfortable with the procedures I am having and they do a magnificent job at explaining the process of it all. Aside from that, the office uses highly hygienic measures to keep their office clean. This is extremely important to me and I appreciate all they do for their patients. They are very friendly and understanding when I come in to have dental work with my toddler in tow. The staff helps my daughter relax while the dentist is performing the procedures. All in all, I am very satisfied with AV Dental and would definitely recommend it to anyone searching for a good dentist!

Overall, I had a great experience at this dental office. I like everything from my dental cleaning and oral examination. The reception staff, the hygienist and the dentist are all very friendly and professional. I got late to my appointment and they still were able to see me without no long wait. My teeth’s cleaning was pleasant and thorough. The hygienist did a great job removing the plaque and didnt hurt at all. The place is very clean and has all the latest technology. Dr. V is really nice and makes you feel comfortable during the oral examination. He answered all my questions and provided good advice. I can definitely say I can am looking forward to my next dental visits!!!

I never enjoyed going to the dentist, and have had to switch dentists 3 times over the past 3 years due to bad experiences. After hearing great things about AV Dental Associates, I decided to give them a shot and saw Dr. Vahid. Not only were my expectations met, but they were exceeded. I was pleasantly surprised, not only with the cleanliness of the place and the professionalism of the staff, but how knowledgable and accommodating each person was. Everyone seemed to be dedicated to making my experience comfortable and enjoyable- and it was exactly just that! I would highly recommend AV Dental Associates to anyone- you will not be disappointed!

First Day of dentist appointment i was very nervous and bit scared. But once i met dentist he courage me a lot. Without dentist & Excellent staffs I would never thought of getting root canals & crowns & filling done &.. all staffs are very friendlyz . After couples visited Nicole & Johanna started to recognized my voice. Every visit they made my day . Myself & my mom are very happy that we chose AV dental. Dentist also be careful while hes working on you. He made sure that i was feeling comfortable every few minutes. "From start to finish, you will get the same excellent service" basically you willl get your problem solves here ...
