BEWARE of this Dental Clinic (WEST COAST DENTAL-DENTAL CENTER OF HIGHLAND PARK). MY WORST DENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER! I went to this dental clinic for treatment of a tooth infection and their periodontist told me that she will treat the infection by doing root amputation, root canal and bone graft as what the treatment plan is of my other periodontist. On the day of the surgery, she numbed me and then told me she will not do the agreed procedure but instead want to extract the tooth but ended up doing gum surgery instead. At this point, they already collected $800 from me and collected total of $1,750. After 2 months, the infection came back and I was told the periodontist is no longer with them. I was promised another treatment but it took 11 months and no treatment was done. The Manager gave me a run around until I suffered severe bone loss constant swelling and pain. They said they are now giving the tooth a one year life span. I was not told about this during the consultation. They promised to put a partial since they just extracted the tooth which was not delivered as well. When I asked for a medical records, they want to collect $250 whereas HIPAA law is to collect only photocopying and mailing. When I reported to BBB, they were forced to give the medical records but it took them over one month to provide it. I strongly disagree on some notes, their form has a line for patient signature but all the notes dont have my signature as they were not shown to me. Take note that these records are NOT in the hands of third party, they have full control of these records. For your protection, always demand that you sign all the notes and request a copy with both your signatures.. I paid money, lost the tooth, suffered pain and not got the item promised, how could this be right??? Let justice be served by God as He knows the truth. What goes around comes around.

My experience at this place was not good. From the moment I walked in it was a bit sketchy. Front desk was girls were friendly thats about it. The entire time there I was uncomfortable and even tho I know there is a lot of work to be done in my teeth I felt like was being haggled by a sales man. At one point I had to telll the dr to be upfront with me and to be honest. They were trying to charge 600 dollars when I initially just went in for a simple check up. They said I would have to pay that before I left. Being part of the 99 percent I can not afford to drop 600 unexpectedly. All they kept saying oh but u need this and u need that and this is a really good deal and what not. I decided to only do the teeth cleaning because that was all I could afford to do. They said they had set me up in a treatment plan and had already referred me to the surgeon all before I even know all this was happening. My insurance didnt seem to matter to them. Another thing I would like to add is about the staff. As I mentioned front desk girls were friendly. The X-ray guy looked very unprofessional sagging his scrubs all over the place. The dr and assistant working on my mouth were having side coversations about personal lives. At one pint there were 3 people standing around me as they were gossiping. One of the tools that was being used seemed to be having malfunctions and they just wrapped tapped around it to hold everything in place. I will not be going back to this place. Management was dressed up for a clubbing night. I feel bad for everyone who has had abed experience here and for those who have good ones you are lucky.

This dentist is the worst. They have the worst customer service imaginable. I went in for my first visit with my documents printed and filled out. I was excited to start working with them. #1 their hygienist is rude and condescending and does not explain anything about the procedures she recommends and stresses someone to get. #2 they take forever to come to you and let you know the insurance break down, I had to leave and was told I would receive a call by the end of the day of the next day. I did not receive a follow up call even 2 weeks later. Finally I give them a call and I am able to get a breakdown of procedures and prices. They suggest a crown and I let Leonela ( rude lady) know that my prior dentist suggested I do not get a crown if I am going to get braces. Leonela accuses me of self diagnosing myself. Leonela also states that if I wanted to be followed up with sooner I should have called her. I let her know it is not my job to do her follow up. I told her I wanted to speak with a manager because I did not appreciate how rude she is. She stated rosie v is her manager. Rosie calls me and half ass apologizes and makes excuses for leonela. Luckily I found a new dentist with less exaggerated pricing than this dentist and a million times better customer service. This Dentist is located in Eagle Rock near Vons in case anyone local to Highland Park wants a professional dentist with polite service and good follow up.

So badly want to give this place a three stars! They provide Wi-Fi, free parking a block away, and TVs always on. Less expensive than competitors (although you should shop around, get a printout). The problem is a couple members give a bad vibe. Their male doctor bothers you after treatments to complain about your lack of brushing. He wont give you his name even when asked and gets treated with way more respect than you, the paying customer, do. When he gets fired, can I bring this up to a four. Another negative star is for the wait time: avg. 50 mins-over an hour after your appointments scheduled. Happens multiple times, so be prepared to wait. Wi-Fis free & works well. Restaurants are next door, brush your teeth w/ provided cute hygiene kit after. Ortho (incl. staff) is ONLY open on Mondays, so you MUST set appointments then, even the management. Magazines, wall-mounted video games provided, and most of the employees are kind. Need to treat customers better is the thing.

One of the absolute worst nightmare experiences of my entire life. My daughter needed treatment and all we got was rude, unprofessional service without a single smile. Its never a good sign when the first thing that happens between you and the dentist is an argument. Not a hello, a hi, a what can we do for you today, nothing. Just straight arguing about our need to even be there because we have a special needs child who needs a lot of gentle care when it comes to doing an X-ray, and we were referred to this place "Specifically" because they are supposed to be gentle and nice. However, we received none of that from these people. They were so mean that I walked out with my child and didnt look back. Do not come here. Ever. You will regret it.

First, let me start by saying I havent been to a dentist in longer than to admit because I am a scaredy cat crybaby with serious unchecked anxiety. I only came because when I told my kids they needed to see the dentist soon, they called me out on being a hypocrite. The staff here was really friendly, professional and totally did not judge or make me any type of way for not having been sooner. The dentist was very reassuring and explained everything he was doing and kept making sure I was OK. They did not pressure me into more expensive treatments or push anything on me I didnt want/need. I will defiently come back and bring all my kids too. Theyve made long term cusotmers of us so long as they continue to treat us well!
