Ive been going to this Dr. Natt for about 10 years. I did dog rescue for both San Francisco Samoyed Rescue and Bay Area Siberian Husky Rescue Referral and have been bringing my dogs here for, I think, 10 or more years. In all, I have brought at least 11 dogs through this office including the two dogs I ended up adopting myself. Ive always received excellent care from this vet. One of my dogs is a mutt and has had a liver cancer for 5 years and is still alive - the good doctor let me borrow a book on nutrition for my dogs when he became unable to eat kibble because of his liver degeneration. Hes brought in specialists for me so I could track the growth of the cancer as well. Although he could have recommended surgery, he didnt because the cancer (in this case liver hematoma) is intertwined with major arteries going to the liver. The risk of surgery probably would have killed him and given his 5 years of living with it, I would have to say it was good advice. Hes a bit feeble now but still alive at about 14 or so, perhaps older. My other dog which is a pure Samoyed, has had nearly every health problem in the book of Samoyeds. She had glaucoma which he diagnosed with an IOP, he just recently found a cancerous tumor in her anal gland which was removed 2 weeks ago, has done her eye enucleation after glaucoma finally took her sight after 17 months of treatment (glaucoma always leads to blindness in dogs), and also removed a fairly minor tumor on her skin. Ive never had complications after her surgeries. Shes also hypothyroid which he readily caught which shes handled well since she was put on thyroxine at least 3 years ago. She is now 12. Ive been to Adobe and Holly Street Pet Hospital and I stick with Serra for good reason. Ive had a lot of dogs there, and Ive never had a complaint. One of my friends took his cocker spaniel there and Dr. Natt diagnosed Addisons for her lethargy - and he was correct. Its generally a very difficult disease to diagnose because it’s symptoms can be confused with so many other diseases, he caught it instantly which prevented her from going into Addison’s Collapse. Dr. Natt has always cared about my pets as much as I have and has consistently demonstrated it and I really cant give a good enough glowing review. I dont know if hes the cheapest, but in my book he really is the best.

Ive been taking my little drama queen to Dr. Natt since she was a baby of 8-weeks. The staff are always thrilled to see Jun - they all know her on sight by name. I mean, we walk (I walk, Jun zooms) up the parking lot and through the front door and whoever is at the front desk always perks up and says excitedly, "Its Jun!" And my little girl zooms around the waiting room, panting, tail beating up a froth of air, whole body wriggling in excitement, "Hi, Pam!" or "Hi, Sammy!" or "Hi, Everyone!" Its such a blessing to have found a vet who knows how to deal with spoiled little pets who have dramatic leanings. I mean, I cant say that I blame Juns reluctance to get her shots, but shes not shy about letting people - especially poor Dr. Natt - know just how mean it is to give a poor unsuspecting puppy vaccinations. But Dr. Natt patiently deals with her attempts to crawl off the table and hide in the corner of the room and just laughs off her antics. Two minutes after the vaccinations are administered, Juns back to being Dr. Natts best friend. Ive been impressed with Dr. Natts skills as a vet. When Jun was six months old, I had her fixed. Id read stories from other yorkie owners how their girls were down and out and miserable for a few days after the surgery. My girl, was up and at it within hours of her surgery. And thanks to Dr. Natts terrific suturing and Juns rapid healing skills, the incision was fully closed and the puffiness nearly gone by day six. Which was a blessing given how rambunctious Jun was - playing with and pulling out the sutures, spazzing out and sprinting around the house - at least by then she was largely healed. I would - and have - recommended Dr. Natt to others. Its really nice to know someone who can give sane advice to a pet owner who is insanely in love with her yuppie puppy.

Buyer Beware! Go to this hospital only if you want to be insanely ripped off! Our cat was lethargic and not eating for a couple of days so we brought her in here for the first time. It was the only place I could get an appointment on short notice. While they are really nice, they smile in the front and then rip you off when youre not looking. They prey upon your love for your animal to bleed you dry of every cent you have. They took her temperature and found she had a fever. I mistakenly mentioned that we had VPI Insurance and their eyes lit up. All of the sudden her temperature was a sign that she could be dying at any moment. The tech ran off to complete an estimate to tallying $895 in essential tests, IV and overnight stay. This is the only way we could make sure our cat stayed alive according to them. We of course agreed. The next day they called and total us she was in total liver failure and would require another nights stay and a $600 ultrasound. Thats right, $600 for one ultrasound of a 10lb cat. Fearing for her life, we agreed. They called back after the ultrasound... all of the sudden she wasnt in liver failure and never had been, but required another nights stay in the hospital, IV medication and take home medication for bladder stones. At this point we were about at $1300 and I figured one more nights stay couldnt be that much. They didnt give me an estimate for the extra nights stay. When she was discharged the next day, the total came out to $2100. Of which, our insurance paid out $660, probably due to the fact that all of the rest of the test and "treatment" was totally unnecessary. I later found out that my friend has a vet that wouldnt have charged us at all for the x-rays and ultrasound. Stay far away!!

SHORT STORY -- Dr. Natts office does high quality work for low prices. The staff is friendly, the environment is comforting, and I always leave the office feeling like I got a great deal. LONG STORY -- I have been going to Dr. Natts office for several years and I cannot overstate how blessed I am to have found them. I went there on an old fashioned referral from a close friend who had several pets. At the time, I only had my cat Pixie. It was my first pet, and lets just say that this cat was high maintenance. Pixie was always getting into it with other animals, mostly neighborhood cats who entered our yard. Pixie was one mischievous feline and frequently came home with scratches, cuts and other ailments. Dr. Natt seemed to be able to soothe Pixies otherwise surly demeanor and not only accomplished attending to her wounds, but appeared to have a calming effect on her. Pixie stopped fighting as much and became a mellow cat. Pixie started getting old and encountered a number of other ailments, some of which only Dr. Natt seemed able to diagnose. Since then, Ive had a few other pets. I had Kiko, a male labradoodle, and Billy, a mutt cat. Dr. Natt has provided the same high level of care to them as well. Kiko and Billy have become best of friends. My daughter has recently purchased a hamster named Chewaah, and this little bugger has had all kinds of problems. Normally, I would just wait for the hamster to die, since thats what they appear to be good at (sorry people, no offense), but given Dr. Natts propensity for high quality and low prices, I said what the heck, its my daughters pet, lets get him fixed up. I cannot recommend Dr. Natt more highly.
