This place is not what it seems...I am giving NO stars because I was tricked into spending for things that they knew would not help my dog...They wont let me post unless I give at least one star...First of all the first visit was supposed to be free according to their write up in the phone book...I reminded them of this and they reluctantly removed it from the bill...Veterinarian Dosanjh Karan was nice enough but he was shielding his real intentions as he did not diagnose my dog like he should have...He sent us home with expensive medicines and a bill of 519.00 after he was done with the exam...I dont know how long he has been a Veterinarian but he should have known that from my dogs symptoms and what we described to him about his condition,that our dog possibly had swallowed an object...Instead he chose to send us home after taking our money knowing that we would have to come back again for another GOUGING...We trusted them and waited for the meds to help our loving dog,of course he got worse...We took him back this time Veterinarian Gill Gurjeet was on duty...I asked for xrays and they took them and found our dog had a rock and it was lodged in his stomach...When asked what something like this would cost he said about 3500.00 but as he continued to talk he reached a whoping 5000.00 to 6000.00 and he would have to send us to anothe hospitol for more xrays which would cost more money...On that day we were charged 165.00 but the xrays were only supposed to cost 60.00...He gave me the story of he had to take more than one xray but thats not what it says in their write up advertisement...They even charged us for having to hold the dog down as they took the xray... This next statement bothered me even more than being GOUGED...They took my dog to the xray room I followed and as I turned I saw Veterinarian Gill Gurjeet Shove my dog away with force...My dog is playful and I know he was in pain but he is a soldier and was really hiding his pain...I did not say anything because I was in a worried state at the time and did not want to be confrontational but now that I am home I realize just how much we were SUCKERED and RIPPED off at the expense of our loving dogs pain... We will take our dog SOMEWHERE else that will care about his health and NOT try to take ADVANTAGE of people in time of need... PLEASE AVIOD THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS...LET MY EXPERIENCE HELP YOU IN YOUR SEARCH FOR A GOOD PLACE TO TAKE YOUR PET...I DONT WANT ANYONE TO HAVE TO EXPERIENCE THE LYING TACTICS WE EXPERIENCED... I have read all the positive and negative reviews regarding Apollo Vet and must say I am very surprised at the bad reviews. Yes they are busy but both Dr. Kevin and Dr. Gill are two of the best vets I have ever come across. We have been taking our four dogs and two cats to Apollo since about 4 weeks after they first opened. We were taking our animals to Valley Vet but they were so expensive and when you have as many animals as we do the charges racked up. A simple yearly checkup at Valley Vet was $150. At Apollo we paid $50 (if that). We couldnt get out the door for less than $350 per visit. Dr. Kevin and Dr. Gill are very caring and compassionate and have never, ever over-charged us for any procedure, medication or operation, in fact in some cases they have actually given us a break by "comping medication" to help us with the costs. They have always worked within our budget and have even let us pay in two to three installments when one of our dogs had to have 2 major surgeries in the space of 3 weeks. I always ask them for a detailed list of all the costs and we go through it. I have never, ever felt that they just wanted to make money. They both drive from Manteca to Walnut Creek and are open 24 hours to service the community. Last summer I had to have my 24 year old cat put to sleep and was totally devastated. Dr Gill was unbelievably caring and although I knew we were doing the right thing letting her go, it was very hard. Dr. Gill walked me through the whole procedure as I am sobbing gave her the injection while I held her and then said "shes gone but you can stay and hold her for as long as you want, I know how hard this is for you". He even took the time to write us a very nice note when her ashes were delivered back to us. One of the most expensive costs with having dogs is teeth cleaning. Apollo charges HALF the cost of all the other vets in the area for exactly the same procedure so who is ripping who off? To all these people who have had a bad experience, I am surprised but please also remember that Dr. Gill and Dr. Kevin are people just like you and I and they have lives and families and pressures just like we all do. Maybe if you took 5 minutes to ask them how they are, or how their children are it might make a difference. They are by far the BEST vet I have ever taken our animals to and I would recommend them to all my friends.

If I could give this place less than 1, star I would in a heartbeat! All they want is your money which Ive spent plenty off it here. They have taken advantage of me until I had no more money left to give them. Then they let my poor girl SUFFER for nearly 6 months because they said I owed them money. I told them I paid in cash and I wasnt given a receipt in the confusion. So instead of helping me to get to the bottom of the money issue they let my dog suffer with a horrible disease, they refused to give my records to any other vet so I could get her help and when I went to go try to clear it up.... More than 3 occasions they left me sitting in the office ALL DAY LONG, they must have gone out the back way to avoid me. My dog suffered very bad because of your greed! You do not care, about animals you only care about money. You kept leading me on for 8 months saying you could fix my other dogs eye, you had me coming in every week and charging me a pretty penny and after I realized what you were doing making me come just to get my money thats when you said it probably cant be saved and took it out. I asked you if it could be saved the first day I walked in, you knew you couldnt save it but you seen a gullible woman who would do anything for there pet and took full advantage of that. I was told by a member of your own staff DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG THERE, THEY DONT LET THEM OUTSIDE TO GO POTTY. Guess thats why others say they smell pee. Yes both of these guys are personable but thats only if you have money... Do you see a trend with these reviews? How could you take advantage of a disabled woman and let one of her dogs die a horrible death and not feel a little bit bad? Please Im telling you the truth dont take your animals here unless you have plenty of money to waste! Most of the people in this area if you know any of the shelter or rescue programs warned me but I thought they wouldnt do that to me were friends. Wow what a slap in the face I received!
