After having back pain for so long, a friend of mine highly recommended Dr. Velez. I have to say I was nervous to try Chiropractic care as it deals with the spine, but I was in so much discomfort I decided I would go in. Im SO glad I did. Not only did it relieve my back pain but it also helped with the constant migraines I was getting that used to last for days. He made me feel comfortable, explained in detail what was wrong with my current state and how/why adjustments would help me..... That was over a year ago, I have been a patient going for monthly "tune-ups" since, or as needed. After being adjusted I feel so relaxed, it even helps me sleep better. The most respectable trait I see in Dr. Velez is that he wants to fix the root problem naturally instead of conventional doctors leading you to pills and pain medications that only mask the problem. He is very flexible with his schedule and is able to see his patients same day if necessary. Another plus is the monthly payment plans he offers, as some insurance companies do not cover chiropractic care. He is very thorough, careful, and all around awesome D.C. Since being a patient I have also referred multiple friends and family members. I know he truly cares for his patients and wants their bodies to function well and have optimal health.

Thank you Dr. Valez, for being so humble and generous with your knowledge over your skills. I always pray to God to bless your skills and not to let pride overtake your bearings. I came to seek your help for my back but mostly to strengthen the bond with my new daughter-in-law, who recommended you. I am glad I took the step. You are gentle with your hands and words. I went over a month and still continuing, once week. I want to share my testimony about what your treatment has done to me. Two and half weeks back, I was playing hand ball with my students and as usual told them I will not last beyond 6 balls, due to my asthma. I realized after sometime that from one there were now three students and they were rotating but I was still inside the court. I immediately praised God for blessing your treatment. Your treatment was helping other areas of need without my asking for.Also, I have been having phlegm in my lungs and the very next thing will be having asthma for 6 months. It is not happening. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. I came to Dr. Velez in February. I had been battling issues with my leg & back for three years. Multiple MRIs, some of the best physical therapy offices in the country etc. I came to Dr. Velez and he pin pointed the problem, we worked on it for months and I gradually got better. 9 months ago i couldnt run 2 miles without severe pain. Sunday I placed second in my age group in a half marathon with zero pain. Not to mention all of the hiking I can now do without any pain. I have also seen other chiropractors before seeing Dr. Velez and none of them helped me. If it wasnt for Dr. Velez I know I would still be in pain and the issue wouldnt be resolved. Not only does he know what he is doing from a technical standpoint, he is always so positive and pleasant to work with. His staff is also very pleasant to work with. Being very patient with me as my schedule always changes. I will never go to another chiropractor again, I owe all of my recovery to Dr. Velez. I highly recommend him!

I didnt know much about Chiropractic before I came here. But Dr.Helmer not only made me aware of the several benefits that we dont even imagine but also cured my pain super fast. I had a pretty bad pain in my upper shoulder and back area that when I was rushed to urgent care, the doctors at Kaiser could only give me pain killers which did not do a bit difference. I had to suffer extreme pain for four days which only keeps getting worse but I wont be prescribed anything but pain killers. I couldnt trust in Kaiser anymore so I went to Dr.Helmer when my colleague told me about him. My pain was 90% gone in just 2 sittings. Later I got an X-ray and Im getting regularly adjusted. His prices are reasonable and it was definitely worth for me. I was actually surprised to learn that Chiropractic techniques cure more than pains related to bones. A good idea to learn would be to attend his free sessions.

I have a compressed disk and a pinched nerve on my mid-lower back caused by a car accident I had about 10 years ago. During my pregnancy I was really concern about my back and how the pain would be as I advanced in my pregnancy. I found Dr. Valez on Yelp. I started seeing him during my third trimester and I am soo glad I did. After my first visit, I felt amazing. My back pain was controlled and I felt great. He also worked on my pelvic area to prepare me for my delivery. Being that this was my first pregnancy, I was able to go through labor with no epidural and was only in the hospital for 7 hours before I had the baby. Today, I am still seeing Dr. Valez every week to keep controlling my back pain and correcting the issue. Dr Velez is great at what he does, he is very friendly, and always in a great mood.

I started to see Dr. Velez while training for my first ever triathlon. My IT band was so tight, I could barely run a mile without it acting up. Truth is, I didnt even know what the problem was. I had been an athlete my entire life, but never once did anyone ever tell me about the IT band. Anyhow, once I did find out about it, I didnt know how to fix it. When I went to Dr. Velez, he could tell immediately just how "off" I was. He showed me a new stretch every visit and told me to use them twice a day (whether I was going to work out or not). I saw him once a week the two months leading up to my race and I made it through the entire triathlon without a single ache. Im thankful, not only for his work, but the knowledge and tools he shared with me as well. Ill be a patient for life!

I have been seeing Dr Velez for 8 years now; I was suffering from headaches 4-5 times a week so I needed to see him a lot at the start of my treatments, but now Im happily on a "maintenance program" where I see him once a month; my headaches are gone! I trust Dr Velezs advice in SO many ways because Ive witnessed for all these years that he is personally invested in the well-being of his patients. Furthermore, I admire his ability to look beyond the "conventional wisdom" to treat ailments, and I urge patients to probe him for ideas on nutrition and exercise; he is a well of knowledge who personally practices what he teaches! I adore my relationship with Dr Velez and I hope to have his friendship and professional guidance for the rest of my life! :-)
