I was a patient of Dr. Strums and found him to be a good optometrist. I understood him to be the only doctor in the office. I called the office, told them I was a patient of Dr. Strums, and set an appointment. On my appointment day, I was examined by a woman who did not introduce herself by name, nor did she indicate if she was a doctor. I thought she was an assistant and that the doctor would come in at some point. At the end of my appointment, I found out that the office had scheduled me with another doctor without my permission for even informing me, and that this was a common practice. A relationship between a doctor and a patient is specific to that doctor, and shouldnt be passed off like that. I found it rude and disrespectful of me as a patient. Further, both my glasses and contacts prescriptions were written incorrectly (different mistakes) and had to be rewritten. The replacement doctor was otherwise adequate, but thats not the point. I plan to find another optometrist who values and respects his or her patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mark S. Strum for over 20 years and have been completely satisfied with Dr. Strum and his staff, for all my eye care needs. Years ago I wore contact lenses and now I wear glasses. With each product I have used, Dr. Strum has always taken great care and effort in meeting my changing vision needs. It is always simple to get an appointment and each staff member is so friendly and professional, and experienced in working with my insurance provider. His office is a one-stop shop providing the eye exams, as well as ordering contacts or glasses in the same office. They take such care in getting the order right, so I can pick up my glasses and walk away from the office with my new glasses, and be pleased with the results. I trust him and his staff and have recommended this office to my friends.

I was very pleased to find Dr. Strum. The staff is very friendly and I really appreciate that my appointments always start on time. I feel that the staff and doctors respect my time. I found it easy to make an appointment, even with a challenging schedule. The visit was thorough and each part of the exam was well explained. I appreciated that as Ive had various other eye doctors vaguely explain some anomalies in my eyes before. Over the past year my whole family has been seen by Dr. Strum and the consensus is that well stay with him.
