I originally came to New Britain Dental Arts to get a second opinion on dental issues my former dentist claimed he could no longer do anything about. That former dentist had wanted to perform many extractions which frightened me. Such a monumental task, in my opinion, desperately needed a second opinion. When I called N.B. Dental Arts, I was given an appointment with Dr. Richard Lechner and didnt even have to wait long for it. Dr. Lechner listened to my dilemma and his first reaction was to attempt saving as many teeth as possible. I have observed this to be his professional approach toward his patients, to make every effort at saving teeth. Over 18+ months have passed since that day when I entrusted Dr. Lechner to take care of my dental issues, and I am VERY HAPPY that I did so. In my opinion, Dr. Lechner has a caring and gentle disposition in the dentist/patient relationship. Hes got a great sense of humor when the moment calls for it, but whats most important, is that he very calmly and clearly explains everything hes doing. He always answers all my questions - and I always have lots of questions! During each of the many visits Ive had with him, he always, always ensures that "we never want you to feel any pain" and he reminds that I indicate with my hand if something is feeling uncomfortable. Even when Im being given a numbing shot, his assistant uses an instrument that vibrates the jaw area in order to eliminate as much pain as possible from the shot. Id also like to include that Dr. Lechners assistant (each time Ive been seen by him), Kasia, is a fantastic person. She has a wonderful personality and makes me feel very comfortable when I come in there, and also, she is very well-qualified with what she does while helping Dr. Lechner. The front office receptionists are pleasant, friendly and always answer my questions and/or do whatever is necessary to get answers for me. And believe me, Ive gotten to know everyone very well since Ive had many appointments over the past 18+ months. I feel very comfortable with everyone whenever I go there. My case has been exceptional because Ive needed many appointments to fix all my dental problems. But as Dr. Lechner said to me, I stuck to it, he and I persevered, and its now all done. Im a person who likes to laugh and smile a lot - and now, thanks to Dr. Lechner, I can once again do that. Dr. Lechner has done a phenomenal job with my teeth! Would I recommend Dr. Lechner to others? Without a doubt! The best risk I took when I went looking for that initial second opinion was to have walked into the offices of New Britain Dental Arts - and began my appointments with Dr. Lechner. I am so very grateful for his kindness, his infinite patience with all the problems I came in with, and his remarkable dental expertise.

Today I had one of many amazing visits at New Britain Dental Arts. I never write reviews for anything but today I feel that great people deserve a shout out!!! :) Every time I go there I feel like Dr. Lechner respects my time and makes me feel comfortable. I like how the numbing injection do not hurt me at all. That is usually the part that Im scared of the most. The dentist uses some kind of vibration device and I learned later on that it tricks the nerves, so the injections are pain free. We spoke in detail about todays treatment plan and the future work ahead. He explains everything well and in easy to understand terms. Dr. Lechner is very approachable and the staff is very nice and helpful, always welcoming me with a smile. :)

I was very nervous on my first visit, I hadnt been to the dentist in many years, however doctor Lechner and his staff were very comforting and helpful. They explained every detail of the process and the tools they used. A month or so later when I had a severe toothache around midnight on a Saturday, I called the emergency number of the clinic and was promptly contacted by doctor Lechner and he was able to call in a prescription for me to make it through the night. The next day he performed a Sunday morning root canal. Friendly, dependable, you wont find a better dental practice.

I have been going here for over 5 years now because my dentist retired. Jaime cleans my teeth and I absolutely love her. She is so friendly, welcoming and gentle when she does my cleaning. I also see Dr. Kenia and he is the most friendly and kind man. He is great about explaining anything going on with your teeth. If you are looking for a great dentist office. This is your place!

The need to visit the dentist can be a scary situation. It was for me. But, this place was great and I am no longer scared. Everybody there was not only professional, but also very nice. The dentist was a pleasure. I liked how he explained everything, his way of thinking, and his quality of work. If your teeth are important to you, then you should definitely visit them.

Went to Dr Lechner for the first time last year for a root canal ,he made it painless ND saved my tooth , came in this year for a cleaning and found some cavities 2 days later was able to get them taken care of and fixed my chipped teeth along with. Appointments are always on time hardly any waiting great staff who are attentive, and kind .

ALWAYS excellent. Prompt, friendly, and reasonably priced. Our daughter had dental problems that could not be fixed in another state. Dr. Kania fixed the problem and relieved her pain in short order. Also, my 91 year old mother is very satisfied with Dr. Kania and his staff since becoming a patient after her former dentist retired.
