I dont know what is wrong with this company mainly their Farmmington CT office and Manchester CT office. . I can tell you once I am done with the work on my mouth I will never go there again. The un-professionalism is ridiculous and I shouldnt have to argue over what I owe vs what i know I owe. Patients beware. I would contact your dental insurance and make sure you are not over paying for services because if you do it is going to take at least 8-12 wk sometimes more to get your over payment back because they dont even let you know you over paid. SO where is the money going? In their pocket.. I suggest all clients at this office please contact your issuance company and ask for an explanation of benefits because there is a 90% chance you over paid for your services and dont know it. I suggest any time you get work done you get a copy of everything including anything you paid anything they say owe and keep all your insurance benifits information because that will tell you what your suppose to pay vs what you actually paid. Please please do this for your self so you dont loss money or even underpay. They have a habit of doing this its not just me I am sure. Please please stay of top of things because if i wasnt on top of things i would have to pay 691 for something that was only suppose to cost me $300. which would put a over payment at $391 which is incorrect. and they would never tell you. It took me 2 months to realize i had a credit and then when I finally realized it, they dint want to refund me my money they wanted it on a credit on my account which in not appropriate and like most you go in get your work done and then not back in there for 2 or more years. So I told them they needed to refund my money to me to my checking account it took them 6 months to do this. Please for your sake keep watch on this.

I had terrible experience with Aspen Dental in this Farmington location and I will never go back there ever again! I highly suggest anyone who is looking for proper, honest dental service stay away from this place. Dont get fooled by some good reviews on Google; this place is a complete rip off! I went there after I got my braces removed just for a basic teeth clean. I made sure my insurance covered the cleaning 100% but They looked at my teeth and told me I had gingivitis and had to take medicine to avoid further problems. And then they prescript $70 mouth wash + $38 mouth paste for me! I asked if I could get them in CVS and they told me its prescription (turned out I can get similar mouth wash in regular drugstore and my orthodontist told me that my gingivitis is not even that severe at all!!! She said they are just trying to make money by exaggerating my issues) Also, I got my appointments changes three times in a row in the same day! I was not told the reason, and when I ask, the front desk persons attitude is terrible and it sounds like its ALL MY FAULT. Very very unprofessional.

STAY AWAY! They are crooks! Went in because of extreme pain and they were the only office on my insurance that could take me. After waiting for a long time while they convinced two elderly gentlemen that they needed all kinds of expensive work done, the dentist spent 5 minutes with me identifying all kinds of fillings that needed to be done. Then told me I needed a root canal. Made me sit with two women who tried to charge me for an overpriced treatment plan including fillings I did not want them doing. They refused to make the appointment with their specialist unless I paid 60% in cash up front. I refused and asked for an outside referral. When I left, I spoke with my insurance and found out they were trying to charge me more than they are allowed per the contract with the insurance company. When I went to the referral, found out the dentist didnt even identify the correct tooth that needed work. Staff was definitely more interested in making money off of me than caring for me properly. So glad I didnt let them do any real work on me!!

I really wanted it to work out, but their front office staff is incredibly unprofessional! They had a mix up with my insurance, said I wasnt covered. Had me go in as a new patient under their promo, for free exam and xrays. To find out I was covered the entire time, (I yelled at the spouse who yelled at the insurance company). They had to eat the cost of their promo because its not valid with insurance, and was hoping Id pay for the rest out of pocket. The front office tried to have the hygienist, while her hands are in my mouth mind you, to not give me the "goodie bag", however she said it was not recommended and gave it to me anyways. Im sure the dentists and hygienists are completely capable but Id never go back because of their front office staff. They didnt even offer an apology when it clearly was a mistake on their part.

For years I have avoided the dentist. Now a problem brought me in. Dr. Valdes took great care of me. He was gentle, informative, and above all patient. Jodi the Hygienist met with me and checked my teeth also. She was reassuring. The assistant who took my x-rays was very nice. Cant remember her name. When I met with the manager Jim, he went over the costs and scheduled my treatment. Reading the other reviews I am shocked as I experienced none of those problems. Was my treatment cheap? No it isnt however I finally have someone I trust to take care of them. They really cared about me. Thank you so much!

My mouth, gums, and roof of my mouth hurt for days after just a basic cleaning. The cleaning hurt like a mutha and caused my whole mouth to swell for the following days. It hurt so bad I couldnt eat anything solid. This visit was also like a "silent visit" where everyone except for the xray tech decided they would interact with the patient (me) with as little communication as possible. It was like pulling teeth (no pun intended) trying to get answers regarding my mouth hygiene, wisdom teeth removal process, etc.

Awful Experience at the aspen dental in west hartford. It is a total ripoff they will tack on extra fees for things you dont need in order to fix the problem you have. I had to get two root canals and fillings which we agreed the price on and wanted to get it done. However I was told i have to get extra cleaning done before they can do that and I was given an outrageous price for the cleaning and not alone mention the root canal and fillings price. Totally not recommemded unless you want to be taken advantage of.

Im surprised by the negative reviews. We came here today as walk-ins because my daughters pediatric practice was closed. They saw her immediately and pulled the lose baby tooth that was stubborn and becoming a little infected and very painful. She is 13 and has never had novocaine, so was a bit nervous, but both the dentist and assistant were incredibly kind and patient. No one tried to push extra services, and I actually felt that the fee was pretty reasonable for an emergency service.
