Ive always been very passionate about taking care of my oral hygiene. I was a patient at a very prominent dental practice in New Haven, Ct. I paid for deep cleanings, x-rays, regular teeth cleanings 2x a year and smiles for life ( lifetime teeth whitening). My parent became ill, I stopped working to take care of them. I could no longer attend this practice to get my teeth cleaned. They didnt offer me anything. One day while grocery shopping, I saw a add for teeth cleaning with X-rays an exams at Dr. Dental practice on amity road in New Haven, Ct. I made an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. To my surprise after spending so much money at another practice and was never informed about 2 cavities or teeth spacing. Maria the office manager, at Dr. Dental made it possible for me to get the work done on my mouth. She didnt charge me thousand of dollars, Maria gave me the opportunity to get my 2 cavities filled and honored a teeth whitening program with trays after I come out of the braces. Oh Dr.Dental office gave me a referral for braces when the other Dr. office never informed me that I needed braces or a referral for braces due to spacing or shifting of my teeth. Its because Dr. Dental practice that I have the opportunity to preserve my beautiful white teeth. Dr. Dental has a female Dr. and shes polite, she speaks to you, shes gentle while working on your mouth and shes passionate about your oral hygiene. Yesterday I called to schedule an appointment with this group with my new insurance. (My old dentist did not accept the new insurance.) The receptionist was very kind, patient, and competent. Today she greeted me with a smile and handled my registration with the group in an efficient manner. I did have to wait over half an hour to be seen by the dentist. Today this didnt bother me too much. I had brought my computer and was able to get work done. If this had happened on a busy day I would have been very upset. In their defense, the appointment was at the end of the day. My next appointment is at 8 AM and I am hoping that I will not have to wait for that appointment. Once I was ushered into the room, the assistant inquired why I was there and agreed to hold off on doing X-rays till I spoke with the Dr. She waited very patiently while I retrieved information regarding my previous dentist. The assistant said she would call him and request a copy of the X-rays he took in March. The dentist did a good visual exam after he asked me why I wanted to see him. He then explained to me his observations, possible reason for the problems I have, and a good suggestion as to how to deal with the possible cause of the problem. He will contact me once he gets the X-rays so we can work out a treatment plan. I am very hopeful this group will work out for me.

My experience was beyond anything i could of imagined. I have such anxiety with dentists; the doctor, his lovely assistant; the office staff were just so wonderful. From the moment I walked in and the lovely lady at the desk greeted me How are you Edna"? Nice greeting. The office manager is great as well. This was my first appointment there. I came right home and got on the computer to say to any one out there if you have any doubts about going to Dr. Dentist in Amity Plaza, I say dont fear they will make you feel so comfortable. I noticed while i was in the Waiting Area that there was a patient there on a walker and she wanted a cup of coffee; The office manager made her a cup and carried over to her warning her to be very careful because the coffee was very hot. The office manager did it with such a welcoming smile;. I am sorry I delayed in coming to your offices; I am grateful that I did today. Thank you Dr. Dental Amity Plaza Office.

This place rocks. Seriously, they get you in quickly, explain your options, if you have options lol, the costs, time frames etc. I unfortunately needed extractions or very costly root canals, posts and crowns. They have finance options. At my age I just couldnt justify the cost and payments, but the option was there if i wanted it. Friendly staff for the most part. Xrays go right to a computer. My experience was pain free. I mean lidocaine in the gums is never fun, removing my two teeth was 100% pain free. Great job. Its a little different than your typical dentist office, Tall cubicles rather than rooms, thats the only difference I could notice. As I recall first visit is like $57. So much more you could waste that in. Go to this place, its your teeth. You shouldnt be disappointed.

I have been terrified of the dentist since my childhood experience with one. It was not pleasant at all. I was nervous when I first came to see the doctors here and after my first visit I no longer have that fear. I have been working with Dr. Kanani and he is AMAZING!! The staff is also truly caring and so nice from the receptionists to the assistants everyone just makes you feel so comfortable. I never feel like I am bothering them with questions and I never feel rushed which is such a great quality to find in a dentist office. I would highly recommend this office to anyone and everyone looking for great dental care and an amazing staff to go with it. :D

I had a great experience when I went to the Dr. Dental in Amity from beginning to end. The front desk receptionists Ali and Kayley made me feel very welcome. And the office Manager Maria was very informative and welcoming as well. The dental assistant, Tiffany also made me feel welcome and Dr. Cheung explained the procedures that were going to be performed. By the end of my visit I was satisfied with the dental services that were performed, the customer service was phenomenal and I would definitely recommend family and friends to this office.

Omg. I loved this office so much. Its rarly seen that an office is decorated for the holidays. Its blissful to see that they also offer u beverages while waiting for your appointment. The manager maria was amazing. I loved her energy and she made the visit fun and i was no longer nervous. The doctor did amazi g and the front desk ally was very helpfull when scheduling my next appointment. Highly recommended. The customer service is like ive never scene. Absolutely going back. I went in for a cleaning earlier this week. The staff was super polite and got me in really quickly. Dr. Desai saw me very soon after. Turned out I had a cavity, and Maria got me an appointment for this same week. I went in a got my filling today, and the whole experience went really well. I got to see Dr. Desai again, very early in the morning so it didnt interfere with my day too much, and was in and out very quickly. I will definitely continue to go to here.

The complete staff was so friendly and informational... i would recommend them to anyone looking for family orientated dental office. My sister went as a walk in with a tooth ache. The saw her right away pulled her tooth and made a follow up appt the next week now thats great service. I went today since i saw how they treated her and loved them... my sisters kids loved them too. This is a beginning of a long relationship.
