I normally dont write reviews, but the Staff and Care I received at Westville Family Dental was Exceptional.I would Highly recommend Westville Family Dental to anyone needing dental care, especially for those that have not seen a dentist for a period of time or are looking for better care. I had previously gone to another dentist and received unsatisfactory care. When I went for a second opinion, not only was I given the up most quality of care. But more importantly, every step was explained to me clearly and given with Respect and consideration. My only regret was that I had not come to Westville Family Dental sooner. I can not say enough good things about the staff at WFD. The Staff at WFD was professional and Welcoming from the very first call. The Office manager, Nancy , is always ready to help with answering questions about insurance , scheduling appointments or any questions about my next appointment. Dr. Jacob truly tailors his care according to the Individual patient, he not only walked me through and clearly explained every step of my care,but did so with consideration to ALL the questions and Concerns I had. My Dental Technician , Teesha, is what all Technicians should be. She is not only Professional in her duties. but More importantly , she is friendly and puts the patient at ease before Dr. Jacob arrives. If you are looking for a Dentist in the New Haven Area, Again, I HIGHLY recommend Westville Family Dental. Another Plus is their Location, it is conveniently located right on Whalley avenue.

I found WFD by doing a Google Search, hoping that I could find a dentist who could do an emergency cosmetic job (my dog ate my lower partial leaving me with a nice black gap on lower jaw). Im an entertainer/musician so it was very important to me to have something - even temporary - to fill the gap. Literally. Nancy the office manager was terrific and got me right in. The office is beautiful in the lovely and historic Westville section of New Haven. Doctor Jacobs and his Assistant were fabulous. Ive been treated pretty Crappy by some dentists, even in New practices; whove spoken condescendingly to me and scolded me in the exam chair. These were the most pleasant and professional dental healthcare professionalsIve had the pleasure to be treated by. Doctor figured out a plan for me to resolve my issues with a more permanent solution, and even sent me home with my gap filled with a beautifully constructed temp tooth. Now I can face the public with confidence. My insurance didnt cover this - and I was charged such a fair price, I was really expecting to pay a LOT more. I know other dental offices have charged a lot more for doing a lot of us. If you are looking for a new dentist please give Westerville family dental a shot. It feels like the old school dentist you grew up with.

This is the best dental office I have had the pleasure of visiting since my childhood dentist. Nancy, the receptionist is very warm and friendly. She is very accommodating and was excited to hear that my friend had referred me to the office. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Melky, the dental hygienist. He made me feel like I had known him forever. I was completely dreading the cleaning (I had some very sensitive gums) but after he talked with me I felt much more relaxed. He was extremely professional and did his best to make sure I stayed comfortable. My teeth were cleaner and whiter than they had looked in a couple years! Melky was also the first hygienist ever to not cause me pain while taking x-rays of my teeth. Dr. Jacobs, who I met with briefly, was also a very welcoming professional who made me feel confident in my choice to visit the office. I am actually not dreading my following appointment with him in a couple weeks for my fillings. I highly recommend this office to anyone!

I was in search of a dentist because I had chipped my front tooth where I already had a filling. I had randomly called Westville Family Dental. I spoke with Nancy the receptionist and told her my dilemma and the insurance I had she told me to come in that afternoon. Once there Dr.Jacobs told me he could fix it but he couldnt do it for two weeks. What he did was gave me an exemplary temporary filling until I go back in 2 weeks. I am totally pleased with the staff and service I have always had a fear of dentist but with Dr. Jacobs I was very comfortable on my first visit. I would recommend WFD to anyone they are the best......

I havent been to a dentist in nearly a decade-I was nervous and hesitant to have my exam, but Milky and Dr. Jacob made me feel incredibly comfortable. From as early as scheduling my appointment, everything was seamless. Nancy was so thoughtful and helped me find an appointment that accommodated my crazy schedule. The team here is very thorough and so knowledgeable. I am walking away knowing exactly what is going on with my teeth and what the plan of action is. I would highly recommend Dr. Jacob, Milky, Nancy and team!

Westville family Dental is by far the best dentist I ever been to! They made me feel very comfortable and they know how to get the job well done. They all are nice & polite and treated my as if I was their own. Dr Jacob is very skilled and I love the way he does his work and engage with me. His personality is awesome! His assistants are fantastic as well. Nancy at the front desk is very welcoming. I highly recommend if you need your teeth worked on, go to Westville Family Dental!

I had such a great appointment today. Milky and Dr Jacob were very personable, gentle, and actually listened to me. They taught me more about how to take care of my teeth than any dentist Ive been to before. Nancy at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. I actually enjoyed my appointment, which Ive definitely never said before about going to the dentist. I feel really lucky to have found this practice, and I hope to be with them for years to come!

I saw Dr. Jacob twice in December 2016 for an emergency filling after a tooth broke. He was competent, professional, and friendly, and the receptionist/administrator, Nancy, was very friendly and accommodating as well. My grad-student insurance didnt cover the filling, so they were kind enough to waive the fee for the temporary filling that had to come first. I look forward to going back to Dr. Jacob and Nancy for a routine x-ray and cleaning soon!

everyone was extremely kind, (Nancy at the front desk is a wonderful person!). Dr. Jacobs and Milky were gentle and thorough. they answered all my questions and made my visit comfortable. it was also my 3 yr old daughters first visit to the dentist, and she loved it so much she actually asked if she can come back again the next day! I recommend Westville family Dental to anyone and Im looking forward to my next visit!

Dr Jacob is a really nice guy who takes patients worries and fears into consideration. If youre afraid he makes sure to let you know what hes doing and checks up on you as hes going along to make sure youre alright. As someone who has been terrified of even a simple dental cleaning since I was a child, its appreciated. Nancy at the front desk is also a very nice and funny lady and it puts you at ease.
