Went to the ER here after about a week of near-constant coughing, high fever, and difficulty breathing. After waiting for hours, first in the waiting room and then in a closet-like examination room, the doctor told me that is was "probably just a virus" and gave me some Tylenol. After suffering like this for a couple more weeks, I went to a real hospital (Griffin), where I was quickly diagnosed with pneumonia and given antibiotics. Within a couple of days, my symptoms were completely cured. Of course, I still had to pay New Milford Hospital for the visit and useless medication. Im just lucky that their lazy misdiagnosis did not result in any of the permanent damage that pneumonia likes to cause, like scarring to the lungs. I do not recommend New Milford Hospital.

The people there have always treated me nice, and did what they could to help me, but I do NOT recommend going there if you need an X-Ray/CT scan... any kind of imaging. I did some digging and came to the conclusion that there is a wide range to the potential cost of a CT scan depending on where you go, and NMH is on the high end of that range. The next time I need imaging, Ill be trying Housatonic Valley Radiological Association 2 miles away, because NMH billing is outrageous. It can literally be the difference between hundreds of dollars and THOUSANDS of dollars.

As a CT Licensed Non-Medical Home Care service, it is consistently a pleasure to enter this hospital. Again today, from an efficient Security, to (2) friendly Ambassadors at the entrance desk, to the healthiest hospital dining facility Ive experienced (FL, GA, NY, CT, RI, VT, NH) to the skilled nursing staff attending ~ so generous, to the physician who chose to call me to attend the discharge meeting, just outstanding! A sincere thank you

I was brought in after a TIA (a type of stroke), which NMH completely missed. They treated me like a criminal, the only trapping missing was being cuffed to the bed. They were no more interested in getting the diagnosis right than they were working overtime; but their Billing Department was sure quick on the trigger. Dont go here if you can avoid it, when a much better hospital exists in Danbury.

Researching a hospital for my 2nd child....in 2007 this hospital performed the most episiotomies among all CT hospitals! See theunnecesarean_dot_com. Unnecessary procedure and they are doing it less and less. Get with the trend towards natural birth, New Milford Hospital....and when you mention pain management on your website, dont lead us to believe anesthesiologists are the only way!

Nurse on duty along with the doctor were completely unprofessional. They seemed like they couldnt be bothered with any patients, and I was so disgusted with the service i went to Danbury Hospital the following day to get a second opinion. The caliber of treatment in Danbury was far superior to New Milford.

Have had to visit the ER 3 x in the past few months and have found that the Dr sand RNs have been wonderful!! Also the nuclear tests technician is so nice. Would not hesitate to use this hospital again if needed.

New Milford Hospital has the homey feeling about it. Every employee seems to be attentive and kind. Great place to visit for your medical needs.
