Ridgefield Primary Care I have been treated by Ridgefield Primary Care since 1966 when Dr. Safford and Dr Nelegan practiced out of a very large house on Main Street. Both Doctors truly had a calling too heal people. Dr. Nelegan was an Irish gentleman who chose to leave his Ireland estate once a year to treat the ill in Ridgefield. Dr. Safford like Dr. Nelegan was not happy unless he had someone to heal. Ridgefield Primary Care has grown and changed to fit the needs of Ridgefield, as it too grew from a pretty and sparsely populated New England town into a crowded yet elegant elite community. What makes RPC my choice is that it has defiantly held on to the one exceedingly important distinction that makes an excellent Doctor. The innate hunger to cure is first and primary in every Doctor at RPC. I cannot imagine putting my life in the hands of a Doctor whose first priority is anything else than a deep calling to help humanity. This is why I drive 50 miles each way to see my primary physician at RPC.

Lousy experience time after time. Would say that I was treated like a number, but wasnt even treated that well. While doctors are OK (but unreachable), staff is unhelpful, uncaring, and unconcerned. Never forgot the time I had a 104 degree fever, was too sick to speak, and the first appointment they had was in 5 days. Or the time when I threw my back out on a weekend, couldnt get out of bed, and the best they could offer me was a referral to a specialist in another town that wasnt open until the next week. Or the time they refused to give me a prescriptoin refill because I had not been in for a physical in 11 months, but had no appointments available for a physical for 4+ months! They just dont care. And, good luck getting to speak with someone on the phone or getting a doctor to call you back.

Doctors are ok but the staffs and nurses are the problem. I called up for checking my blood test result and receptionist answered a nurse will call back but no one did. It happened frequently so I think some procedure should be changed so that they can provide better services. Even though they are using laptop for all processing, how come do they forget something to do?

Front office is beyond helpful. Doctors are caring and efficient. I have 3 kids and my wife and I are also patients. We have had nothing but postive experiences over the years. They arent the types to just hand out prescriptions. They take the time to truly fix the problems without flooding the public with unnecessay antibiotics.

Inattentive front desk staff seemed outright spiteful when I appeared unannounced for a prescription I needed filled. How dare I walk in without an appointment! Also, very slow communication between RPC and pharmacy. Find yourself a better Doctor group.

Ive always been happy with the staff and doctors. Wait times arent too bad and everyone treats me respectfully and with concern. Very pleased with my experiences.
