I scheduled a wellness exam. When i went in after the BP, weight, etc i was getting put in the room and was then told i cannot have a wellness exam since i was a new patient. I was upset and i was taken up front to talk to the ins/billing person. Who also confirmed this after my being told over and over it was their policy by the other lady and now by this person. I was starting to get agitated so i said lets just go ahead and they agreed to let me make 3 monthly payments to pay for the new patient visit (165.00). Now i have a high deductible so this is all out of pocket for me. Except for the wellness exam. So after seeing the doctor and scheduling the diff tests i got anxious and concerned for again..the cost...so i wanted to contact my ins and see if i needed to wait on some of the procedures..etc. After not being able to reach them i came back to this RUDE woman. I told her lets go ahead with the blood work and she got all huffy with me and said " i already took the orders out well LET ME go put them back just a minute"...all rude and in my face kind of attitude. I had a talk with their human resources person and left. Today i get a "courtesy" call telling me she spoke to the physicians on staff and they said it would be better for me to find another doctor. Number 1: No one told me i couldnt schedule a wellness exam 2: They were rude 3: she even scheduled an exam that was for the wrong time that i told her..and 4: said she gave me the paperwork for it and did not...THIS PLACE DEFINATELY NEEDS HELP.

I recommend not going to this place. I went in there today because I had a fever for 2 days straight and was not feeling good. I am a VSU student and the health center is closed so I wanted to go somewhere that would actually care about me. (Unlike the emergency room where youre just another random person) These people do not care about you. I told the front desk lady that I was feeling dizzy and I was about to pass out she preceded to turn her head and talk to another person. I sat on the floor right in front of the check in desk and the person calling names continued to call names as people walked around me. The lady did not even ask if I needed help or if I was ok. They did not offer any assistance to a sick patient. The front desk lady then told me since I feel so bad I should of gone to the emergency room. Keep in mind this is an urgent care place!!! I then said ok Im just going to leave and they ignored me. Then I asked for my cards back and the other front desk person says here and hands them to me. If they were this rude up front I cant imagine how they are in the back.

I would give a 5-star rating except for a recent incident. We are new to the area, and had to find a primary care physician. They set us up with a new doctor in their practice, Dr. R. Daniel Bennett. My husband had the first appointment, and I liked his office manner so much that I made him my PCP, too. (except for the lady parts stuff, and they accommodated me with a female to do those exams) We both have had no problems with getting appointments, and we are both very pleased with Dr. Bennett and the staff on the doctor side. We did, however, have an unfortunate experience when my husband had to go to have an ultrasound at their next door office. The girl at the front desk was quite unfriendly and rude not only with my husband, but with the other patients in the waiting room. They need people that are patient-friendly. People who come in there for testing are usually nervous and not feeling good anyway. They dont need rudeness on top of that, they need a smiling, friendly, pleasant, and helpful person!!

Today I had the worse experience ever at this clinic. The lady (Dont even know her name) who gave me a PHYSICAL listened to my heart and lungs for 2 seconds and wanted to call it quit. I had to ask her if she was going to check my ears, throat, etc. she said that that was done in November. I was puzzled, then she checked the computer to see - it was done in November 2015. Duh!!! So she took a second to look at my ears and throat. She was ready to let me go again so I had to ask her again if she was going to check my reflexes and other stuff. She said that it was done last month. ( I had my prescription filled only) I told her no, it was not done last month. She then said that she assumed that they had done all that. People should not work in a medical clinic if he or she is not able to focus, read correctly and ASSUMING things; and just wanted to get patients in and out in a hurry IS just not acceptable. I guess its time to change doctor. By the way, I spent a total of 95 minutes there.

It’s all been said in the other five star reviews. Dr. Bishop and the staff at Valdosta Family Medicine are all I could have hoped for in a medical practitioner. He has been my primary care physician for over 15 years now and has always provided the absolute best care, and I believe, best advice and treatment during every visit and for every issue. I strongly feel that Dr. Bishop is the ideal of a family doctor. He genuinely cares, he is professional and he makes an investment in the health and well being of his patients. If you are looking for a doctor whose medical knowledge is comprehensive, treats the whole person, and takes the time to be caring even while maintaining a very efficient office, then Dr. Bishop and the staff at Valdosta Family Medicine are who you should consider visiting. 6 Stars if they had them!

Let me say this, I normally love this place!! This is my physician office. I have been going for over 10 years. I have two problems with them. When you have an appointment and you end up seeing an physician assistant. If I made an appointment with the Dr. then I want to see the Dr. not a PA. use them for the clinic. When I go to the clinic and see the PA, teach them some skills for patient kindness and not just blowing you off. Ive been going for several years, and the PA they have when I went to the clinic in Feb. treated me like crap!! I am HIGHLY disappointed. I hope this is not sign of things to come.

I used to go there I missed my appt because I looked at calendar wrong instead of a Monday appt I thought it was a a Tuesday appt. The front desk staff was so rude I could see them talking about me and giggling then I was told I didnt do my blood test the month before but it showed on my bill that I did. Well they found it on the PAs desk ten minutes later. Then they said it would be best if I find another Dr. I did and so so very happy with the new Dr and staff much better service I dont feel like Im a burden to them and they all know be by name and give me a smile every time I am there
