I was a previous patient with this clinic and my experience with this chain of dental clinics has left a lot to be desired. To start, I checked into the clinic early to take care of paperwork to only sit waiting for up to 30 minutes past my appointment time. During this time the office staff took time to go get starbucks, gossip and laugh while patients were sitting in the lobby for their appointments. No one mentioned what was going on to cause the delays. When I was finally called back to the exam area, nothing was mentioned about keeping me waiting and the tech went right into the exam giving the impression things were ok. This is shotty customer appreciation, you have paying patients who have taken off from work to come to your clinic for dental care only to get left waiting at your convenience. If there are operational or administrative delays please relay that to patient so that they will know it isnt a circumstance of doctors/dentist keeping patients waiting. While I was in for a procedure to get filings the dentist used a large metal syringe to inject the local anesthetic. During this process I experienced moderate discomfort and to only have the dentist say be patient its almost over. My thing with this is Ive had filings done while I was in the military and the anesthetic injection was not a uncomfortable experience. The rest of the procedure went ok, with the exception of leaving the television on the dental chair on Wendy Williams. It seemed like the dental tech used it a personal TV instead of asking me what I wanted to see or watch. I would have preferred it be off but the tech kept it on for her entertainment. Lastly, Im attempting to have my records sent to a new provider after moving from Georgia. Thus fair my experience has been abysmal, the office manager/worker Sonya gave me the impression she was just too busy to want to send a fax to get my release forms. Ive sent a follow up email to try to get the form and then finally had to call in again and was able to receive the fax after going through my story a second time with the new office worker. If trying to get your records be sure to keep names and times as you may be brushed off like I was. The fact that they dont send records via email doesnt bother me as so much as the fact that this is a chain clinic and it is 2017. Requiring patients to receive faxes and then send records via snail mail demonstrates a lack of awareness of opportunities to enhance patient care. Im sure if it were a medical emergency I may have been able to receive my x-rays faster but having already established an appointment with a new provider and not having records prior to it really makes me regret choosing this clinic. f you are looking for a dental provider I highly recommend going to another provider in a private practice. Ask someone whose been in Valdosta long term. These folks at Aspen are clearly in the business for profit and to take advantage of naive patients.

I was unable to get an appointment with my local office (Tallahassee, FL) for almost two months, despite having an immediate need. I called the scheduling center for assistance and was given the option to go to an office that was an hour and a half away (Valdosta, GA) for an appointment within just a few hours. I was grateful for the option. Upon arrival, despite being 10 minutes late due to travel encounters, I was treated wonderfully, made as comfortable as possible, my immediate concerns were addressed, and routine treatments were scheduled for the following week. They even referred me to the Endodontist back at my local office for my convenience in addressing some more extensive needs. However, when I contacted the Endodontist at the local office, I was told he does not retreat root canals. Having had extensive dental work in the past, an Endodontist that does not do retreats seemed completely ridiculous to me. So, in summary I must give a dual rating: the Valdosta, GA office and Scheduling Centers get an "I loved it!" for their help, flexibility, and quick action, while I give the Tallahassee office a "pretty pitiful" for seemingly not being able to do much of anything. I will not be going to the Tallahassee office in the future, but am strongly considering returning to Valdosta, regardless of the drive.

On April 19th, 2017...Dr.Ezeja and everyone at Aspen Dental were so kind to me. They performed an Oral Cancer Screening on me, which came back positive. They all took time to talk with me, and they showed so much compassion and care for me. I cannot tell you how much that meant at the time. Dr. Ezeja, told me to go to my ENT, and have him do a biopsy, and he said to come back and let him know what the outcome was. He even said I dont need an appointment, just come by and let them all know. Well, here I am...on May 20th. I did have the biopsy, 2 surgeries, on May 3rd and 10th, to remove the cancer and fixing to start my radiation treatments. Without the caring people at Aspen Dental I would not have known so soon. I managed to get my Stage 1 cancer removed. I will forever be in their debt...Since I have not had the time to go and see them, they actually called my house to check on me, yesterday. Such a wonderful and kind thing to do. I didnt spend a fortune there....it was my first time...i spent a total of 71.00 , but what I received was worth so much more. Thank you Aspen Dental.

Terrible experience. 1) Temperature was 79 degrees in the waiting room, women were getting flush. Asked to turn it down, and they said they would, but later admitted jokingly that they liked it warm up in the waiting room, and all had heaters under their desks, therefore did not do anything about the setting on the thermostat. This led to other staff bringing us back to another waiting room, took keep from passing out. 2) Attempted to collect money for services not rendered (which is not what their own financial policy states), 60% down, just to make the next appointment. 3) Refused to do a normal (insurance paid for) cleaning, but insisted further services and treatment could not be done with a "special cleaning." 4) Did not even do a cleaning on the first visit. 5) Concealing costs within those totals of "specialized electric toothbrushes", $125, without informing patients. 6) Pressuring patients to do more services, suggesting services that have never been suggested to patient before. Called back and cancelled all subsequent appointments, got refunds. BEWARE

I saw a dentist in your office on 2/3/17. It was determined that I needed a full mouth deep cleaning and a filling. On 3/10/17 I woke up with a very bad tooth ache. I called to be seen since I was pretty sure that I had an abscess and needed antibiotics. I was told that they couldnt see me me until 3/21/17! I called around and was able to find a dentist (Dr. Kilby) that was willing to see me ASAP! It was found that my back upper molar was cracked, had an abscess and was infected and that this was a tooth that had been cracked for some time. This was not an issue that was even identified by your dentist. When I went to pick up my records to take to Dr. Kilby I was not asked why I needed my records, was there a problem with care I received, NOTHING! Because of the actions of your office you have lost 2 patients.
