I had a NEW PATIENT appointment scheduled this morning that I made back in October, which I was fine with due to the great things I had heard from my neighbor. Upon my appointment the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. But then... I waited for almost 45 minutes before being called back. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS MY FIRST TIME HERE. When walking back I asked the assistant if she knew how long my appointment would take? I explained I had another appt. following this. I was told that she didnt know and the Dr. was behind! (duh.. I just waited for 45 minutes) I was told, "well he is behind and I dont know how long it will take, so do what you need to." Working in the health profession I know things can make for a crazy schedule, and being behind is one thing, but when you are greeted with a not so friendly staff member it makes the whole situation even that much more unpleasant. I walked out of this apt. not being seen. And was very upset that I waited over 2 months to be seen and then this happens. What happened to first impressions and making patients feel welcomed. Maybe this office should have assistants that are as friendly as their front desk employees.

Dr. Ipema is a wonderful, caring doctor. I am very happy to see him and the staff at Community South who are all wonderful during my first pregnancy which I am currently experiencing. A couple of months ago when I was in my first trimester, I was in a car accident and was nervous about my baby. I called and explained that I was scared my babys health and status after the accident and just wanted to triple check with Dr. Ipema that everything was ok. His receptionist said not to worry and to come in that day whenever I could and he would see me even though I did not have an appointment that day. He fit me into his busy schedule and put my mind at ease after an extremely stressful experience. He is a kind, caring doctor who is very professional and personable at the same time. I highly recommend him and the entire nursing and receptionist staff at Community South!!

I just moved from Florida and was searching for a doctor due to being pregnant. I read the reviews and decided to go with Dr. Ipema and it has been the best decision ever. My husband alone is very needy when it comes to our pregnancy and Dr. Ipema was able to win him over. Dr. Ipema is very professional and very kind. I trust him with making the best decision for me and my family. This is my first pregnancy so I am very cautious. Dr. Ipema is always available when I need him and has even personally called me himself to discuss results that were needed etc. Thank you Dr. Ipema and staff for everything and all that you do.

Dr. Neal Ipema is a fantastic physician. He saw me throughout my whole pregnancy and delivered my baby. He also accepts Medicaid. Although I have state assistance, he and his office never made me feel inadequate or shameful for the insurance I carry. He will go out of his way to make sure you can take advantage of every coverage option offered inside your insurance plan. He also placed my IUD and did a great job. Quick and painless. I would recommend him over and over again. I cant express how great he is. His office and staff are fantastic too! Seriously, choose him as your OB/GYN. You will not regret it!!

He worked his way up from nothing and genuinely cares about his patients. I lucked into him via a referral from my gp. After 2 visits, I pronounced him worthy to handle my daughters pregnancy and delivery. Lock in while you can. There will be a longer wait, but it will be worth it. He is the Dr. James P. Metzler of OBGYN.

Dr Ipema is amazing.. Not only did I enjoy my doctors appointment everytime .. He made me feel so at ease during my delivery. He really is one of the few Drs left who truly cares and listens. I highly recommend him. Wish he was in California for my next baby.

Dr. Ipema was great during my pregnancy. My office visits were always great and I never felt rushed. All of my concerns were validated and thoroughly discussed. If I brought a family member to an appointment, he was great about involving them in the visit.

Best obgyn Ive ever meet all of my family loved him as well he delivered both of my boys. Hes amazing at explaining things if you have questions and really good at making you feel comfortable hes AMAZING wouldnt go anywhere else

I am from out of state and Dr Ipema was called into the ER to see me. He was so nice, caring and thorough in making sure my visit to Indiana would continue well. He has a great bedside manner. I appreciate his care.

Ipemas a good doctor but the wait times at this facility are too long. Way too long.
