I brought my puppy there for the very 1st time for his second set of shots. He was the biggest in the liter, healthy, and with no issues. I asked if they can take some of the shots that are not needed out. They said no it comes that way. I reluctantly decided to go there and give them a try based on their pricing seemed fair. When I got to the vet they told me they do everything in the back and will bring him back after he is done. I have never heard of this. My pitbull was always seen by the vet in front of me. This made me feel uneasy. Two days later my dog started to break out into a rash on his stomach and paws. I thought this was either puppy poderma or a reaction to the shot. I kept a watchful eye on it but it got worse. A week after I brought him back and they said it was puppy poderma. They told me to give him benadrahyl 2xs a day and some anitbiotic. Gave it to him for 15 days and still no better but worse. Finally I go back for his last shot and to see what is going on and they scrape for mange which it was not. They then think it is demodex or scarpotos. They gave him Next Guard for the Demodex and Revolution for the Sacoptes. They said I had to order it online from a site and there was nothing else to treat the sarcoptes. Nothing worked and I felt like they were just taking my money. My dog was PERFECTLY HEALTHY before and then after going in that back room and the shots now he still has the itchy bumps. I have never been to a place where they take your pet into the "back". Plus they full so many pets thru that place its ridiculous. I had awesome vets in VA and they cared about the animals and gave you a whole game plan on what was going to happen to your pet. Aardmore seems like they process quick money with cheap treatments. I honestly think if I didnt go there my poor dog would be fine. This place doesnt think about whats best they just want your money. Id be cautious about a place that takes your pet to the back and a place that processes your pet like a drive thru at a fast food restaurant. My complaint is that they didnt give me any information about the following steps if it didnt work, they could have told me to wait longer to give my pup his shots to build his immune system, they could have given him just the necessity shots instead of all 7 which is not recommended in the veterinary medical journal, and they could have given him a skin exam right from the start to figure this out. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. YES IT MIGHT BE CHEAPER BUT YOUR PET COULD END UP WITH POOR CARE AND COST YOU EVEN MORE IN THE END!

Ive waited almost a year to post a review on Aardmore to be sure my opinion had not changed. I had been a client there for 15 years and four dogs. However, after my last experience with Aardmore and Dr. Bradley in particular the day before my dog passed away we have gone elsewhere for the care and treatment of our pets. Aardmore used to be a great place to go and Dr. Pineau was wonderful. They always had time for questions, explained everything and never hesitated to squeeze your pet in if need be. I had recommended them numerous times to friends and neighbors, most of which went and fell in love with them. However, they got to the point where they were reluctant to squeeze you in and made me personally feel like a nuisance when I insisted on bringing my dog in twice after having a penrose drain installed and I felt there was too much fluid and clotted blood coming from it. The last visit on 10/24/14 I saw Dr. Bradley because the site had too much clotted blood coming from it. I was told by Dr. Bradley that she wasnt familiar with my dogs case and had also had Dr. Tucker look at her since she assisted in her care when was inpatient for four days there the previous week, that the drain was not in anymore (I never did find that drain anywhere in my house) to clean the area with Peroxide and given another script for antibiotics. We then had to leave through the back door because my dog had a lot of clots coming out of the site. After no improvement that evening and the next morning, we were at PetER, where the hemangiosarcoma was confirmed and by that point there was no way to stop the bleeding. When I received a copy of my pets records I found it interesting that on that last date I saw Dr. Bradley there was absolutely no description whatsoever of why we were there to see them, what our complaints were, like the numerous other notes of prior visits had, just "drain now out, clean area with peroxide, swelling now localized to area slightly to middle of upper thigh, 20 Baytril, 136 1/2, recheck on Weds." and the charge of $25. I was most disappointed that I received no phone call from anyone at Aardmore after they received the records from PetER which were faxed the next day and only a sterile condolence card two weeks later from a 15 year client. They have lost my business as I would never trust any of my pets to be cared for by them again and the business of at least two people I had recommended to them.

I liked the first visit; the desk clerk and vet seemed nice. I called yesterday about bringing my dog in for a bath and asked if he was up to date on his vaccines. The woman on the phone seemed irritated and accused me of hollering at her. I was merely asking questions, while relating the information to my daughter; since shed be dropping him off. I couldnt understand why he needed an exam EVERY time he gets a vaccine. I couldnt understand why they charge separately for the bath, cleaning the ears and clipping the nails. I made an appointment for his bath and influenza vaccine; which in Florida, it wasnt needed. I also made an appointment for 6 days of boarding. I told the clerk , thank you and her response was um hum. Not professional response and rude. I think she was having a bad day and took it out on me. Afterall, Im paying them for a service and should be treated with respect!

I have looked for a long time for a vet i like in the Baltimore area. I am so happy that i finally found aardmore. They have taken great care of my feline friends. My one cat, was older and ended up getting cancer. They were very straight forward and realistic with me, and helped come up with a care plan that was best for my cat and were very understanding through the whole process. They have never made me feel pressured or guilty to do procedures. I would recommend them to anyone. My only compliant with them, is that i wish they examined the Pet in the room with you. They are reasonably priced, and the staff is very helpful. They will be my vet for a long time.
