Step aside Dr. Jack Kevorkian, Dr. Arun Gupta is Monroe Michigans new doctor death. I saw this man for the first time today, and by far the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. Ive seen doctors in Michigan, Ohio, New York, Florida and Pennsylvania and I was appalled at his bedside manor, his lack of concern for me as a new patient, complete disinterest in my medical history and ailments, and I was unable to speak without him cutting me off. I did not receive an exam before he ordered several prescriptions for me that are both dated and dangerous, nor did he discuss with me why he was writing these prescriptions, ask me any of the usual questions, or discuss treatment options. These medications were not needed, nor did they even apply to me or my health! He then changed a medicine that Ive been on for years and works perfect for me, again without discussing why or asking me if i was ok with the change. The last straw was when i spoke up for myself and began to question him why he was ordering these medicines without discussing the reasons behind his decision when he ripped up the prescriptions in front of my face and proceeded to become very nasty and speak to me like I was a homeless beggar! This man has no communication skills, and in my opinion has no business practicing medicine if he wont even listen to his patients. He treated me with no respect, and had no interest in allowing me to be active in my own health care and possible treatment options. It was crystal clear i was supposed to sit there, shut up, and not question the doctor! After my visit to Dr Gupta today i now understand why every other patient review on every medical website is negative and mirror the same complaints i have against him. He has been sanctioned by the board many times, recently lost a wrongful death suit to the tune of 4+ million, and currently has two open wrongful death lawsuits in Monroe county circuit court. Dr Arun Gupta should be avoided at all costs if you value your health, well being, and life. He needs to be on every "Drs to avoid" list on every medical site out there!

I have been seeing this Dr. for almost 3 years, because of my insurance I have no choice but to go to him. About 6 months ago I was having a very difficult time breathing, without listening to me breath or touching me in any way he said "you need to loose weight, granted I am a little over weight (511" 225lbs) but I am very active and I am a non smoker. within 5 days I had to call the ambulance to my house and go to the hospital where I was admitted and spent 11 days for double punmonia and Endocarditis (is inflammation of the inside lining of the heart chambers and heart valves). I was told by more than one nurse that this could have been avoided if he had listen to me breathe and or did a chest X-ray, followed by a round of antibiotics. I am positive that if I were a little older and/or had other health problems I easily would have died. With my insurance I have the choice of Gupta or one other Dr in Monroe county. I recently found out that he is one of the major doctors that visits the nursing homes to find his next victims, I mean patients. PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY WAY TO GO TO A DIFFERENT DOCTOR DO SO. UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR PHYSICIAN ASSISTED SUESIDE.

WORST DOCTORS SECRETARY. The Secretary is extremely rude, shows no compasion, treats you like a heroin addict. I was trying to set up an appointment right before she had to go eat so she literally locked me out of the building! These people are in the medical field? Another time I paid her cash for the $40 co pay and then she billed my insurance company (who billed me again) and she dont apologize or fix it. Such a rude inconsiderate person . I am changing primary care doctor immediately. I still need a referal. They also schedule appointments for 8:00am and doctor doesnt even get there till 10am.

He cares about making money and that is it! I saw him for 3 years and the last time I saw him I mentioned a previous health emergency I had a few months earlier and followed up with him after and he didnt even remember it. The was the last straw for me. He runs his office like a factory. You go in, he writes scrips, acts like he listens to you for a couple minutes, which obviously he doesnt and send you on your way. TERRIBLE
