Today was my first appointment with her and I didnt like it at all. First, I noticed that the receptionists and nurses are not friendly. I smiled at them and didnt get a single smile back. Also, i dont know if it was a nurse or just a receptionist but I heard one of the people who worked there being really rude to another patient who had just walked in and it did not leave me feeling really warm and fuzzy inside. Then my actual appointment was a bust. As a disclaimer, I told her that this was my first doctors appointment in 5 years and I was really nervous about it and if she could go easy on me that would be much appreciated. The look on her face said "ok... and?" To me and again I was starting to feel less and less welcome. Then first thing she does is check my blood pressure, and without even telling me what my blood pressure was, says "Your blood pressure is high enough where I can prescribe you medication so I will." I was dumbfounded. Im like but wait! This is the first time weve met and you barely know anything about me or my lifestyle and youre already trying to prescribe me meds? Youre not even really trying to explain to me why! Then I tell her how my tonsils are swollen and theyve been this way for awhile and all she does is look at them and tell me that shell order blood tests. She doesnt tell me what kind of blood tests or how many. She barely says anything to me and answers my questions in as few words as possible. Long story short, I did not feel welcome or listened to at all. I didnt feel like questions were welcome, and most of all, I felt like just another person to give prescriptions to. All in all, I would not suggest going to her for anything. I do not trust her as a doctor at all.
