We started going to River Rock Dental when it was owned by James Perry. My daughter had a bike accident and we had never been there. We walked in right at closing time and Jim got down on his knees and gave her a hug before anything else happened. I was sold! I was sad when Jim was leaving, but he did an amazing job finding someone to take over his business. Dr. Todd Christianson is a wonderful person and great at his craft. He was able to give my daughter an injection and she had no clue it happened. He was beyond patient when she decided she was terrified of the drill (more patient than I was with her!). And the staff!! Oh my goodness!! You couldnt find better people!! They are so kind and attentive. If you are looking, heck even if you arent looking, I suggest trying River Rock Dental.

After 2 root canals prior to coming to Dr. James Perry in Shakopee, MN, I had such a fear of dental work. Dr. Perry has a way of putting patients at ease and demonstrates a genuine concern for their health. My 2 and 4 year old come to him as well--he and his assistants are spectacular at lessening the fear kids have with the medical institution, in general. He and his staff are wonderful, from the moment you step foot into the door. I am so grateful to have gotten this recommendation from a colleague at work. Highly recommended!

More than one crown was on my baby molar for over 40 yrs but eventually the roots revolted and began calcifying. Dr Christianson did a great job as did his staff explaining the procedure and showed understanding of loosing a tooth over 40 yrs in place. When it failed they replaced it with an implant and new crown. The Crown looks like it was there before but even better than the previous crowns which were placed due to the low position of that baby tooth for orthodontic needs.

This is a great practice. I came in with a bad tooth ache and they bent over backwards to help me. They took the time to explain the many options and gave me the time I needed to make the final decision. As far as dentist appointments go, this was by far the most pleasant. I came in pain, I left feeling on top of the world. Great place and great people!
